SAPPER: I was under the impression that NaliCity was a review site, NOT a maps site.
GNOME: It is.
SAPPER: Then people shouldnt be uploading stuff that never should be reviewed.
GNOME: Too late, it was uploaded, and we reviewed it.
SAPPER: Yeah well, in the immortal words of Qualthwar, "The author wasted 8 minutes of my life, and I want it back."

SAPPER: This is one of those maps where you assume the author has a few minutes before he had to go to work so he thought he'd throw a map together. Let's start with a box. Put that in a bigger box. Then put that in an even bigger box. Let's add some stairs that are too high to climb and call them bleachers. Then we'll add some god-awful textures and light the walls on fire. Awesome...the kids'll love it!
GNOME: ...

SAPPER: Music choice definately didn't fit with the theme of the map which I'm assuming was supposed to be a basketball court...except there was no court or court lines, no baskets for the basketballs to get thrown into, no basketballs lying around anywhere. Not even a freakin hot dog or candy bar wrapper. Brushwork was exceedingly simple...boxes and stairs.
GNOME: It should be noted the despite the complete lack of lighting, the build suffers even more because if this was supposed to be a normal sized basketball is way too big...more like a football field. But if it was supposed to be a mini-me map, then the map is actually too small. Now Sapper and I don't normally play mini-me maps nor do we often enable the translocator on deathmatch games...
SAPPER: By not normally, we mean virtually never.
GNOME: So from out prespective, it would be nice if mappers included a little subnote when uploading their maps with something along the lines of "minime, enable translocator."

SAPPER: No bot support, they kinda just stand around until you make enough of a scene to get noticed. No's a big box. No gameplay. Weapon choices and locations make almost no sense at all.

SAPPER: Have we ever reviewed a map with perfect 0's like this before?
SAPPER: Well then, gratz to Xdada for being the first.
GNOME: Look on the bright side of things Sapper. Whatever we review next can't possibly be worse than this.

This is one of those "I am small" maps, which I happen to really like. Load up with all your bots, or throw this one on your server. Either way, it's fast paced and alot of fun.


That would be your opinion, pdq63.2. The fact is, this map works, the bots know what to do, and it is alot of fun to play either online or packed with bots. I didn't find any thing critically wrong with the map. But I guess slamming mappers and people who rate maps higher than what your nimble minded brain allows is somehow acceptable to you. You should try constructive criticism to other mappers, and don't accuse others of rating without d/ling.

Ok, map. The textures didn't match the area too much, and i'm guessing you had fun with the BeltFX texture package. If you plan to make another one of this, be sure to add some jumpers for getting to areas faster, and also adding a hoop and a ball mover.
