Map DescriptionThis is my first map ever. I hope you enjoy it. It took me some effort and time but I think it's all right now. If you have any suggestions or comments please feel free to write them here.

Wow, pretty good for a first map :) The layout and geometry flows well, it's clean and uncluttered. The visuals are nice and simple but effective and not too distracting. FPS is great ;)

A few pointers for you:
- There are some minor weapon placement issues - I think the health vials on the ledge could be put somewhere else and spread out a bit more, and the minigun above the lift jump would be better swapped with something else.
- If you up the surface lightmaps (to about 8 or 16 under surface properties) you'll get much crisper shadows. It isn't essential though :)
- A couple of the walls are very plain, they would be nice broken up with something, like you did with those bsp shapes in the floor.
- 6 players seems a bit too many, I would say 4 max.

Not bad for a first map.

You used few Static Meshes: Tubes, rails, pillars (on the floor), beams and few lights for a total of 80 SM.
The other decorations are made only with brushes.
The lighting is not bad.
Some places need trims, and where there is a trim it was a bit primitive.
In your next map add some others details: more SM, better ceilings, better walls (some SM will help...)

The most problems of this maps is gameplay. I don't know if you test this map only with Excessive or with GoD Mode activated. There isn't enough health for 2 players, and with 6 players I fall in the Morbias syndrome: where is the Health? Add some health vials on the stairs (and some Adrenaline). And the health is concentrate near the 50+ Armor.
Also the weapon placement isn't good. RL and Flak are too near. In my opinion, you can:
- Replace Minigun with Rocket Launcher
- Replace Pulse Gun with Flak Cannon
- Place Health where RL is
- Place the Armor on the ledge with HV and 25+ HP
- Place the Pulse Gun where there are a 25+ HP and a LinkAmmo
- Replace Shock Rifle with Minigun
- Place some Health Vials where there is Armor (on upper floor)
And you can place health and other ammo somewhere. In this map there are a lot of unused spaces (ramps, stairs...) ideal for Health Vials and Adrenaline.
And also you can add the ShockRifle somewhere in the upper floor, but not near other weapons (The "Bridge" with Armor can be a good place).
The Lift is unused, because you can reach the Minigun with a Wall-Jump.

My opinion can be completely different from UT 2k4 expert players, because I play more UT than UT 2004 (and the weapons balancement is different... The Flak is now more powerful than Reed...).

Bots are OK, but they can't take the Minigun and you can place some others Pathnodes.

Not a bad start. You put in this map a lot of work, and it is fun to play.
Read more tutorial and try more time your maps before releasing them. Look at the weapon and health placement (and also for the SM) of other famous maps.

it is indeed good for a first one, there's some walls that have a repetitive look, but for a first uploaded map this is quite very decent. Also there's no redeemer or KEG, and the map is good for 1v1 or 2V2 TDM.

This map performs well and plays well. Sure, there may be some item placement issues, but generally it's good DM. Great for offline play as the bots rock.

Definitely worth a look at. A good first effort.

Thanks for the comments! thanks also to the tip from Hazel.H abaut shadows, i really did not knew that!! It looks indeed way better.I ll try to pay attention to all points abaut item placements and gameplay in my next map.
