Map DescriptionThis is an old "Funnel-map" I made a couple of years ago...
At the time I thought it sucked too much for being on my or any other server...
But then when my first "(euro)Hellfunnel" map got popular (overseas) I decided to upload this to NC3...

altho i have never downloaded mells maps, the screenies here look like a step backwards...

i like to live dangerously...try new things.... so i download mels map.

do you use others and modify them?
If so, Where is the credit part... I remember having seen these textures before in a package named doom.utx

The author and I agree on two points: The map definately has tunnels, and it sure is hell. I beg to differ on the fun part. The map has a central room, which is surrounded by a crazy spiderweb of tunnels that contain at least 2 damage amps, 11 redeemers, 4 big kegs, and most of the weapons on a smallish map. Other than the main room, I found no shapes other than the box. I liked the jump pad mesh with the texenvmap on it, but that is really about it. I can see maybe a 4, or even a 5 on the map at the absolute maximum. But a 9? It might be fun, but there is no way its that fun. Mel, I can see you have some good concepts, but I really wish you wuld learn to add details and decorate. This map makes DOOM1 maps look insanely complex and detailed. I don't think the argument that nobody cares about looks holds true. This could be a decent map if you made it interesting to play. Even an industrial theme is better than cubes that roughly intersect with patterned skulls on the walls. Lok at DM-Zeto, it is interesting to look at, and it has the same basic concept of a main room that has a bunch of halls/tunnles or whatever. Also, the mylevel package is there for a reason, so use it! I hate having to go through and delete packages that I don't need in my UT folder, they take up so much space...
