| Jackle 12-27-2004 07:45 PM MST | | This is my first attempt at a serious map everyone... There are several secret areas, all of which I'm sure you'll cheat and look in the editor for;) But, let me know what you think.
(This map is mainly for Multiplayer purposes...I havn't learned bot pathing yet... so please don't base your review off that)
Kantham... thank you for not even downloading my map, posting a review regarding it as a deck 16 remake, and blatenly proving your ignorance to everyone in this community. I commend you:)
| Pix 12-27-2004 01:38 PM MST | Rating: 5 | | You need a LOT of bots for this map, as it's deceptively large. I used 30 in TDM mode.
The central arena could do with some extra lighting, and you might need to look at the bot pathing. When I started this map up, I stayed in the same little corner for 10 mins just killing enemy bots as they spawned, over and over and over again.

edit: maybe SOME people should play teh map before rating, eh? look under comment rules....

its a good map, let it be. :) not perfect, but not bad. more good than bad, worhty of keeping on your hard drive!
| redfist 12-29-2004 05:55 PM MST | Rating: 6 | | Wow I must say,even with the dark areas and bots not getting around as good as they should,tiz a pretty cool map.Feels like a level in a game for single player,has very good industrial feel,has outside view ,window,but even it's size aint as big as what the other guy said ,it's not to big,and i hate big maps, Redo the botpathing and or separate the player starts or add more,make a few areas cause damage (steam -fire) and mabye brighten up a few more areas. The other commenter )Hidra( or Kanthem (same kid) this map spanks all his maps around the block. should be about a 7.5,but the bot thing to me is a BIG portion of a "map"..
ADD one thing i forgot,was the movers are a cool additive,and the lights that stick down i dont like bumping my head on those
And I don't think carthage was saying it's a remake.
| DarKGamer 12-28-2004 01:23 AM MST | Rating: 7.5 | | I have to say, it's a pretty nice map! If you want, I'll do the botpathing for you and send it back...it's not too hard. Also I'm glad to see it's not another deck remake. Good Job! Some things I noticed though...the fire needs to hurt you when touched, this should also be true for the green plasma things that go up. Another thing is that you should make the lights hanging from the walkway inn the mainroom walk throughable, double jumping is impossible since you get caught up when jumping along it.
Carthage, you're as bad as Kantham! This isnt another Deck Remake! It's not even the same layout! Play the map before you comment on it.
| GTD-Carthage 12-28-2004 01:00 AM MST | | Nice mapping and the "Deck-1" inscribed on the wall looks pretty sinister. Good mappage over-all but I suggest you don't make "Deck-maps". Try searching the term "Deck" in the NaliCity Search Engine and eventually, several pages of results will be returned to you. The people here are tired of Deck-type maps and it's lay-out is badly over-used.
Bot support is very easy to build although takes time to set up. Just try learning more.
| Wehtam 01-17-2005 12:31 PM MST | Rating: 7.5 | | generally i dont like deathmatch, its always metal corridors, tight rooms, and flak... always flak. i have to say upon visiting deck 1 i was pleasently surprised to find something a bit different. It's the little touches like the smashed hole in the wall, the collapsed corridor, the steam jets and giant crushers which give this map a realistic sense that it once was occupied. the crushers in particular are ace and give certain risk to those flak monkeys. The scale suited my style of play because im always "shoot dodge to the left" and "shoot dodge to the right", this map gave me the room to do that. some of the bots were stumbling but i was still able to have a decent game. keep up the good work
