In Short: A solidly constructed map that should entertain those who favour large duelling maps or small free for alls.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but there’s something in the map I like. I'm not sure if its the good execution of theme (which despite being a typical warehouse remains interesting) or the oldschool feeling this has, but it's has this "nice" feeling I can't explain. It might even be the fresh use of statics and textures.

It looks like a warehouse should, which is more than can be said for a lot of maps with similar theme out there. It doesn't have mind blowing visuals and does look bland in places, but there are nearly no flaws or misalignments.
One thing I liked in particular was the way in which the author implemented several hints of the purpose of the place. It’s rare that a warehouse/industrial themed map actually looks like it serves it’s purpose – here we have ammunition and boxes lying around, behind steel fences and doors. The harsh, cold environment outside is also portrayed well, though there is one shortcoming here; the steps of the outside portion have no indication of the snowfall yet all around it there is evidence of a bitter, all-consuming blizzard. It looks quite strange and unrealistic and this slightly hurts the map’s feel. I’m glad to say that in the same area there is a redeeming feature – snow has failed to settle near the windows where heat escapes the building. This does look realistic and is a nice touch.
The lighting is a weak point in the map, being made up nearly entirely out of white tones. It's boring, simple and too heavy. Sure, there are red lights used in places, but that doesn't do anything to break up the boring white midtones. Coupled with the bleak look of the map and the snow, the map does look quite bland, although to some degree this suits the map's theme. At least it's all sourced.

There isn’t much to say about the gameplay because it is just very solid. It isn’t overly excellent but on the other hand there isn’t anything really wrong with it. You could argue that the map suffers a little from r-c-r syndrome and that the map is a little large for 1on1, but these a minor details. There is plenty of z-axis and the map flows as you’d expect it too. It contains several tried and tested methods of increasing the fun and tension – many areas allow you to catch a glimpse of another room or area – one example is the window that blocks you off from the shield and the rocket launcher. You can see if the other item is around and if it is, you can go for it – if not, you know what awaits you when you meet your opponent. There are audio clues to where your opponent is too, though I think the groaning metal sound is a little overused. It’s a good idea but the using the same sound everywhere can lead to confusion and misconception rather than forming an indication for a good player to follow.

Bots roam the map without serious error. Emitters are well used and add to the theme, like the sparks from a broken light. Sounds are used well – if something should make a sound, it does. There isn’t enough decoration to hurt the frame rates, but the map is optimised well anyway.
This all adds up to give the map this solid feeling.

Although a bit short on health, the map has very good flow and the weapon and item placement is superb.

This is a great map with 1 exception: it is too big to be 1v1.

Must download!

Very ugly name... how can someone get the idea of naming a map pervert?

If you can run around for two minutes and not frag someone (unless you're manhunting) it's not really a 1-on-1 map. Visually interesting..

Really enjoyed playing this one.
To big for 1-on-1 but perfect for 4.

It's not really that hard to work it out. The map is based in a hydroelectric plant that has been built as a cover up for weapons storage. The purpose of the place has been perverted. Perversion means to change something for the worse, I believe.

Pervert simply means
To Corrupt, Debase, Misuse,
Or even Distort.

As such I confirm
The author did not pervert
The map editor.

I'm not a Duel player, but I'm sure this map is not too big for 1on1, it's big (small?) just enough ;)
Good layout too, and good weapon AND item placement (100 and 50 shield, finally a mapper that knows how a 1on1 map should be played)

the map itself is pretty cool, with quite a bit of maneuverability and interconnectivity, and some good visual variety considering the theme... while it DOES seem a bit big for 1v1, this is due more to item placement than anything, as the inclusion of an amp would draw the players together more... a big 1v1 map simply won't work unless it has 100 and amp to incite more fighting since it forces players to cross paths more often... other than that i think the 100 could maybe be placed better, like i think it'd work better switched with the shock...

2v2 this map would be good, and it could potentially handle some pretty big FFAs, but 1v1 i think it just suffers from too much space for 1 real powerup to make up for...

I found it rather big for a 1on1 map, but its a well worked out map.
Good view for details and not an inch untouched, very nice work indeed.
