Texturing is fairly solid, the lights in the profile of the floors (not sure what else to call it right now) were aligned well so no lights were cut in half. One of them though went along horizontally, then it bends downward with a ramp and looks a little goofy, should've tried to end the light before the ramp. Some of these lights weren't lit up completely either, it looks good, but needs some tweaking yet. On a good note, the author includes his own textures which look great.

Lighting could be a little better, not much. The ceiling lights provide some purple and bluish colors that look good, but the light textures that they're coming from could use to be brighter, make them special lit or something. The trim lights have a bluish hue to them, but the saturation is still high, and kind of overpower some of the colored areas. The lighting isn't really bad, it may be a little brighter than necassary, but the lighting isn't all even throughout.

Architecture is really good here, a lot of angles, and good trim work. Doorframes and hallway supports look really cool. The author even built a hidden room to advertise his website Chameleon Games. I can't think of anything negative about the architecture, so I'll just move right on.

Ambient sounds are good, some hums, gurgling slime, and the rainfall from outside (I've had a lot of stormy maps lately). Brush-work looks great from the 3-D view, as the author deleted the brushes before submitting it. No BSP errors or HOMs, and nothing else that deserves lowering the score from 3.

CAST: 2.5
Gameplay is almost perfect. This map is better suited for 1 on 1, or 2 on 2 matches, but can fit up to 6 for some furious battles. Item placement couldn't have been better, plenty of health all around. The only bot issue I noticed is that they can't easily get to the U-Damage, they just keep chucking the translocator up their, and trying, but they just end up repeating this until someone comes around looking for a frag. Only once have I seen them get it. Flow is great too, no problems with it whatsoever.

Seems like I did a lot of complaining above, but it's really a great map. Could maybe be a 7 or 7.5, but I'll give an 8, see how reactions go, as I am still new to this. Loads of fast, fun, fragging, and, uh, I'm out of F-words... What's the delay? Download it now, it doesn't take that long, even on my 56k modem.

Awsome map man i wasnt sure if i was playing UT or UT2K3 : )just goes to show what is still possible with the uted2.My hats off to you brother.Im assuming you imported from 3dsmax. Excellent map. Chameleon is there anyway you could tell me by email how you got the map to look like that and why the textures are in the my level package and why the map doesnt show up in the editor. Sincerly Opt

Like the others said, very nice job, the visual eye-candy was a refreshing change in UT maps. Hope to see more like it, possibly larger maps. Well done!

great great love almost everything about this map im recomending to all my freinds
only one problem and that is dark corridor thing with a big hole in it on the second floor
what were you trying to do here? because it is a what i like to call a bot trap the bots go in but they dont come out they get stuck and usually keep walking on the spot nothing short of fragging them will move them

Optimal134, there is nothing imported from 3DSMax, the whole brushwork is done in UnrealEd.

storm, I tried to get a bot in such a situation but the bots seem to have no problems. But I suggest to play the map online or in a LAN, as bots haven't a good tactical AI. The gameplay is much better with human players.

What an excellent map this is. Lots of flow and Z action make for exciting gameplay. The whole thing is well constructed, and although the textures are repeated that doesn't spoil the effect. You really have to fight for the weapons on this map which is a good thing. Up there with the best.

Well, even with 1.7Mhz PC (mine) can sometimes slowdown.

And yes, it is a great map. If you liked this one, check DM-Infinitum also for UT. I have both ;)

As a matter of fact, check the author's "porfolio" here at NaliCity. I have all his maps and they are definitly keepers in your PC.

This is an old map made by Chameleon, he did another great CTf map with Lecter. But it's a pity that he doesn't make maps for UT or UT2 anymore. So play the maps from him, they are GREAT.

bit overated, all the architecture is repeated
it uses the same pillars and light fixtures throughout the whole map, the flow is pretty good though

Architeture somehow reminded me of a UT2K3 map...
dunno why...
nice architecture, item placement ok, 1 camping spot found :)(but if you wait for a prey you can wait a loooooooong time :))

Ultimum][ is absolutely gorgeous but level would slow to a grinding 2 or 3fps. That's no good when the Adept bots your playing with are trading rockets and your caught in the crossfire.

Really nice map, with great playability and visuals. I don't mind the repetition in the looks, but I do mind the slowdown in the fps. I would've given an 8, but dsmchameleon decided to slap the UT community in the face by deleting all the brushes. What's up with that?

but there is a lift exit that his place is not
correct, and sometimes the bots get under the lifts!!!

I'm sorry but this one's overrated. I mean, the gameplay's there and the map overall looks decent, but the lighting and architecture's not the best (architecture's better than the lighting though), and there are a few HOMs present in the distance. Still a nice little map to try though.

Awesome map!!!! Sharp lookin textures, architecture and lightning.
This map is pure 10 for me, say what you want but,
I cant finde bad thing on this map.
No this map is not overrated.

And one more thing, brushes are not deleted, they are owner see only, why not....
Somebody is decrease rating because of that ???!!!

This map has really the best architecture I have ever seen in UT! Also the skybox is one of the best with that rain falling down and generally the visuals are pretty good.The flow and gameplay are good too, with many alternative paths which ensures that no one will be stuck in a dead end. It reminds Deck16 but it is far better than that. Remember that it needs a fast PC to run smoothly.

Yep. Once on ACDC I discovered this gem and it is one of the few maps that stick in mind both with name and look, as it is ultimate.

It looks like they took out my comment,not sure,but I could still copy this level down to the last pixel and looks,deleting the brushes is lame,I won't score it is a very nice map,however,just wondering if deleting the brushes like that should go against the score.
