Map DescriptionWell as is so often the case, you learn how to fix a load of things after a map has been released. One thing in particular, I started to zone this map, but found I would have a hard time with certain sections of it. This caused spawning location frequency irregularites so I took out all the zoning BSP and just used antiportals. This doesn't hinder performance because the map is ridiculously low poly overall anyway. Also I believe not having the BSP causes other problems with the map. For instance the infreqeuncy now with which the bots go get the damage amp compared to earlier version. Next map will apply the lessons learned with this one. But like I said in the readme, this map was a quickie and more of a proof of concept. Only spent a dozen or so hours on it in total maybe a little more. Next one will have more interesting walls etc...
Once again big thanks to Hourences. This time for helping me get this map uploaded. The guy never sleeps!

OLDMAN(CO300): Next map will have exploding dynamite! lol I almost did it too funny you should mention.

Boreas: Thank you!

And thank you also to everyone else for comments and good scores!
A 12 hour map getting 7's and 8's makes me kinda wish I just spent another twelve hours on it lol. Thanks all!

Ha a cave map, and a good one to. A little lifeless and bare, but I guess that's a cave for you.

I liked it, good start, plenty of room, multi level, like the jump to the DD and if you miss the landing a nice keg to fall on if it's still there. Would hold a few players and having multi levels doin't forget to look up. A few more big rocks would be nice to hide behind or block the tunnels, and a couple of dead end tunnels, but bend them around so not to see the end before the enter.. Shot the dynamite {nuts didn't explode lol}

Very solid loved. Lots of decor. It would fit VCTF way better though.

Good texturing, and very good framerates. Im keeping it on my hd. I might use it to practice my aiming.

Man, that's a good looker. And it flows very well too, both in polycount and gameplay.

It can be compared to DM-Sae by Hourences, except that is is a bit less colorful, and focusses a bit more on medium and long range combat.

It was pretty good. I still dont know how to make the many different textures fade like that on a static mesh. I'll learn soon. Map is pretty much fine, except for the perfectly circular spider web in the main room. Could of made it a proc mesh so it waves in the wind, or make it so it aint so droopy and circular. It could also use some more sounds, none being sound emitters, maybe some cave ambiance if you have none already. Also could use maybe some more sky showing areas in my opinion.

Best music would probably be Infernal Realm, or something to that effect.

Solid design and layout with nice flow and all is not easy to come up with when making caves since everything is made with external programs, everything seems fine except for the web texture on top, the resolution is to low but doesn't hurt at all, i'm not sure about the music either. Keep it up this is great!!

and happy new year to everyone!.

Dunno about music - I have that turned off ;) Some good ambient sounds, though I'm not sure the owl should be there (if that's what it is...).

Map plays really well, with plenty of room to move. Seems a little empty with 8 in there, needs a few more bots to liven things up. Would be nice to have a few more routes down, some of the drops are pretty deep. It may look a bit bare in places, but gameplay is first class, and that's what counts.

Imho, those are the only good shots from the map.
Its VERY VERY open, I think even Sirea isnt that open lol.
And very bland, only a few meshes and textures..
so every room looks about the same as the other room.
None of the rooms besides one or two kinda jump out.
You shouldve worked more on how to make every room look unique, while keeping the same theme and balance.

The layout is nice, but to big.
The map looks nice, but with todays standards..
Not that many new stuff, most comes from hourences and others.
I do like the small vines and the web,
gave me the idea to make my own for Circ.
id expect a lot and a lot more.
Map plays ok, but no mather where you are, hitscan will pwn your behind.

I cant believe, no really I CANT believe all (most of) the ratings ive seen so far.

Map couldve been something original, like sae..
but it ended up being a somewhat boring cave.
My opinion..
work it out, make it less big and work on the detail.
and this map will be a keeper.

also an amp and a keg near eachother?
omfg...

It's all good Cursed!

I don't like a lot of maps that are in heavy rotation as well. That's the beauty of the Unreal Community though. Enough people map for it to cover all bases.

Thanks everyone for commenting.
