Amisa 08-09-2003 12:40 PM MDT Rating: 10   I'm rather enthusiast with this one. The architecture is superb. Needs a lot of time to explore. Every sight is eyecandy. The running water is amazing and very realistic. I would have liked a physic volume upon it to give a real stream. Also pleasant to play after have been pleasant to visit. Nice work, keep it on ! SymphonicTank 08-09-2003 06:51 PM MDT Rating: 9   On a scale of 10, this map is a solid 9.5. A larger map than CTF traditionalists might like, but the construction and layout are superb. Sound and lighting are dead on. The bots also know their way around and use the "speed-pads" effectively. Once you get the flag, it seems the come out of nowhere to attack you. Just when you thought you had a clear run back to the base... As noted previously, the map is eye-candy through and through, and yet it doesn't choke your machine - even lower-end machines. This is clearly an advanced mapper at work. I'd recommend a minimum of 5 players per team, or you'll find yourself getting a bit lonely out there. Well done!!! The_Real_Meneer_Aard 08-12-2003 11:31 AM MDT Rating: 7   of course, just like the earlier idolworships, the map is visually very good. but mostly youll end up finding nobody, and playing for hours while still being taunted by the 0-0 on the scoreboard. the time it takes to play is the reason why i only played it once. As with all more unusual maps, this is one you gotta like. or buy a big pc and stuff 32 bots in it. it gets a seven to hounour the tons of work that went into it, but if it was less impressive... And that I want as many people to enjoy my maps as possible .I am adapting this map and making a new half-size version with a brand new blue base for all the people who don't like the normal large version! CTF-HALF-IDOL coming soon! LOL . Just a couple days actually ..with some very neat changes!..Big thanks for taking the time to comment..just one thing to add about the comment below...I like the "holy****".but having said that as there are a lot less jump-pads in the shortened version ..."none in the new blue area at all" I will!. I'm deducting one point as I don't believe that the "holy ****" sound effect meshed to the jump pads is necessary and actually detracts from the feel/atmosphere of this incredibly detailed map. Additonal comment after Louise above: .... and it probably does fit into the Angelheart, Angelmapper et. al. category of being a masterpiece...... Particularly if you like eyecandy: this map has it in spades.
