Map DescriptionI originally set out to correct a few item and weapon placement issues in the first port (CTF-LuciusUT). One thing led to another and I ended up reworking the entire port. The aim here was to recreate UT Lucius style gameplay, but adjusted for UT2003. The entire map has been scaled up slightly. Dodge jumping made it too easy to exit the base and cross the upper ledges. The low-grav and other areas were adjusted to accommodate UT2003 movement. The dodge jumping challenged can still cross the pit with a well-timed double jump across the lower ledges or upper to lower ledges. BSP lighting errors were fixed. Textures were realigned. Some higher res textures were added. Some additional original textures were ported to 2k3. Lighting was redone. Paths and sounds were reworked. Anti-portals were added.

Gameplay was the main concern here not eye candy/ poorly lit, snaggy static meshes.

The original author's credit is in both the readme and screenshot (levelinfo).

*edit*
Sir Tahngarth, simple collision is used on most of the meshes. Blocking volumes and collisions are used extensively. When I said "poorly lit" I meant BSPs light better than static meshes, this is a well know fact, a trade off for their rendering speed.

so use non poorly lit, snaggy static meshes. learn how to make satic meshes non snaggy by turning off the collision of smaller ones and putting blocking volumes over the bigger ones (or using Sinple Box collision). complaining about the limitations of staticmeshes is no excuse not to use them. This is really no better than the original, either in looks or gameplay (which isnt all that great like you imply). Still, its clear some actual effort was put forth by you and all the things a remake needs to have are there, so you get some creit for that.

It's a good conversion.
