This is a large cylinder with a bunch of lifts. The author is calling the lifts cranes, hence the map name. The lifts don't have the proper setup, so bots ignore them and usually stay on the same ledge that they spawned on. If you're wondering if the place looks at bad as the screenshots, the answer is, yes.
