Turns2Ashes 05-01-2006 02:09 AM MDT Rating: 4   Probably reminds you of a Q3 map layout because it IS a Q3 map layout, only much larger and slightly adjusted. See Q3DM1 if you're skeptical. :P Not a bad effort, but very lacking. It's good for shock practice but not much else, IMO. Way too open for anything but shock to really be useful, and if you play with no weaponstay as 1v1 is intended, the match can easily be locked down by controlling that single weapon. No worthwhile Z-axis, but at least the map isn't completely devoid of it (though it's close). Good to see the powerups in dangerous spots at least, but that might be a bit too dangerous if anyone is nearby. As for visuals... various gothic textures throughout, obligatory Q3 curves, and bright white lights everywhere... blah.
