I just don't know why people will not put screenshots. I most of the time will not even try a map without a screenshot.give me somthing I can tell about your map or I'll think it's a noobe, don't DL me map.

hrmm, you say your an expirienced mapper, but some things just went wrong.

1: when u look through the windows at an angle in wich u should see the outside of another piece of spaceship, u just see a bsp error
2: solid red texture, unlit? throws up dinner*
3: why do clans always have the tendency to select music wich doesnt contribute to the atmosphere at all, on the contrary in most cases, as in this one.
4: flares are made by making a light, giving it a skin, and setting bcorona on, i am absolutely clueless as to how you did it :S.
5: u should have de-intersected at your windows, u now added into space wich was already solid, wich could lead to nasty bsp errors/HOMs same goes for some other stuff in your map
6: dont astroids turn around their own axis?

all i found. good job overall, but u did some weird things occasionaly

music: for instance pb_totalizer would be a good choice. but plz dont come with custom music if i get a headache
astroids: it looks like a rock and it floats in space. if u ask me, thats the definiton of an astroid. anyhoe, if it isnt, just about everything in space turn about their own axis.
no bsp errors? i see them through about every window in ur level-,- i found them back no problems :

look through the windows and u see a BSP error, at least, thats how i call it.

under-rating? no. overating? maybe. respond to critisism how u want, but you are not the one who is gonna decide if my rating is accurate. i think its lame that someone who worked on ur maps rates it to

btw: not to needed, but a nice roof would be a cool detail :)
btw @ foamy: where can i see some of ur work?

infallible, i dont think u should work on such details, when ur entire map is buggy

another edit: ok, why am i seeing to high ratings from ppl who helped making this? good fps? what comp u got? i get 200 on deck16, i rather swap 100 of those frames for eye candy IMO. and dont come with lag either, cause i never had lag because of big/eye apealing maps

@redfist: 6.5 overscored? agreed. look at 8.5 -,- this map is obviously almost as good as ithaque or folos or eternalsands

At first look, I was worried, Infa ;). In the Editor it looks like having low ceiling, but ingame I enjoyed the center area. Its actually ok with lowgrav or without, really, I was surprised. :)
The theme is a bit too colorful for me (The green and red is too much, blue and grey would do it) but that*s just me. Same window prob like me in the Dr. Deemgood space station, but apart from that it*s a great gameplay map.
P.S.: A_Z - Agreed, quite uncasual way to make the lights. But I think he did the lights this way with "fake coronas" because most of us who he plays with have our coronas and dynamic light set to "off", never thought of this, what a way to force people to see them ;)
@A_Z: You know what I play so you can imagine waht my maps* are like - Arenas and GiantMaps. You can see some stuff of mine at the servers of KFH, CCC, SCA, Woot, depending on which style also on TrufF and HiVoltage. There are more clans / servers that got some of my maps but I can*t guarantee they got the maps on right atm. But none of them you would like as you dislike the settings, or the gametype, the weapon or the flow. However, I am participating the UnrealPlayground Mappack, so best is maybe to wait for that.

Thats right foamy. Thx. I appreciate how you rated it more on gameplay, like it should be. Also i did that so that they wouldnt grow if you backed up. I hate that effect. And, am i allowed to rate my own maps? Lol...And i almost forgot, thanks to {c.C.c.}Deathstorm and [KFH]FoamyGal for helping me along the way, and Nahand, i think, for the base :).

Edit: A_Z, wheres my bsp error? i dont see a single one. Edit: Found it lol
The music suits my map fine, what did you want me to use, that gay music they usually put on space maps?
And last, why do they have to be asteroids? They can be whatever you want them to be in your own little world of under rating.
Ive added a screenshot now by the way, sorry i couldnt do it before, but ive been playing ut all day and didnt know my map had been approved and uploaded until a little bit earlier.

Edit: I would like something like what redfist said, ill keep that in mind and try to use it in my next map. please suggest things that you think would improve the map.

A_Z, why are you saying they worked on my map? they didnt. they just taught me alot about mapping, teaching me tricks ect.

Yes, this is allmost the sample map Nahand made for the "theme design contest".I guess we may as well call it another map entry hehe.
When you line up your lights and have rows of things put the grid on 1 and line them up to the grid.
I am talking about those small blue bursts in a row, using somthing in a row like that they should be lined up exact.It looses it's effect when it's (allmost) lined up.

With all due respect this map is not a 6.5, waaaaay overscored.

If this guy is an experienced mapper, then I must be a Pro. Epic must have forgot to send me a check, lol.

The layout seems straight out of the TDC mappack, as for the brushwork it is super simple, the lighting sucks, textures are too bland and not enough variation, the wierdness on the main floor just makes the map worse IMO, overall its a weak attempt at a map at best. Keep trying tho in time you will make a map thats worthy of playing.

That's not a light actor corona but a retextured UTFlare. :P I'd use it but only depending on situations such as a distant view of a tower which needs coronas on the windows and antenna. Light actor coronas just don't reach that far at most of the time.

it plays, no hom, some bsp indeed (the window)
sometimes a disturbing corona.
my fph was pretty nice and i liked that their is a variety of weapons :), the green flowing lights should also be on the bottom of it (jsut a suggestion)

overall a nice smooth map, wel lit for maximum killing view.

Music is sweet,love the bright colors this map is all kinds of fun on our server with all game types. Good job cant waite to see some more from yeah.
