Map DescriptionThis map is based on a cross betwen the usual w00t feel maps, and my CTF-scF-pwnage (Also available on NC3) - People said pwnage was a little plain, although it worked, so heres the resulting 'change' on that map :) -- Hope you enjoy it :P

**NOTE** -- Now Includes sky.utx AND a copy of the sWJumpPad Zip file... This should stop anyone complaining :\

Usual fun Woot-style mayhem (myself I like such nonsense
once in awhile). Good flow-only issue is bots jumping
around in a loop on the upper level with the flag without
capping it.

where do all these files go?? i still cant get ur pads to work

i got .unr.uz 2 .unr's[should go to maps right?] 1 .utx[textures?] and .u[system?] but where does .unr.uz go?

I diddnt include it in the package as its not mine to include, a Quick Google Search for swJumpPad - Will bring up, Switches Jump pad, Just download it - simple...

I hate Lazy people, that cant be bothered to spend 30 seconds in google....

I cant really put swJumpPad.u/int in 'MyLevel' now can I??

I MIGHT upload an update later with it included, we'll see... Just most people who like w00t maps, will already have it so..

I did this mainly to teach myself about Jump pads and sky boxes, this is my THIRD map, and I had a map base to work from to creat this, even without w00t I would have probably come up with something similar to this any way, the only reason its called w00tage is cause of the w00t maps that are around :

READ THE README!! (and as for the swJumpPad - thats nothing to do with me, I just included the Download Zip) -- .uz is for Redirection Downloads - you dont need to worry about them...

i,m glad someone has chosen to do a "refit" of this level.
understand that there will always be a difference of opinion on what to include in the myLevel.
if you take the Apple model, HD space is cheap, so throw it all in.
if you take the IBM model, HD space is precious, and should not be wasted on duplicating files.
i would not throw asparagus on someone for choosing either path.
"oh the file size is too big because you included xyz.utx"
"oh i can't run this map because it doesn't include xyz.utx"
you cann't please everyone, and if the file is retrievable with a simple search, then give the author the benifit of the doubt.
understand also that many playing ut have dial-up connections, and one redundant file can cause many to not bother to download.
i will comment on the map itself l8r

edit:
i checked out your non woot version first, and was impressed with the way the bots behaved; was a little supprised that you seem to have taken that map and cut it in half and made it woot, but:
1) you did much more than that
2) it works for pete's sake!
you added an upper level with all kinds of neat jump pads, and did some good work training the bots to use them. and you even did some fps optimization via zone portals. not a hack job worth a zero for sure.
no weapon pick-ups, so works fine instagib, rocket arena, sniper arena, etc.
this is obviously made for clans to play online and have a good time.
no extra points for pretty lighting
no extra points for beautiful textures.
i particularly like the fact that the flag area is a bit protected from snipping.
i was a bit disappointed that you could take the sideways jump pads, hit the forwards, and with a little "english" on the direction keys land right on the flag. just way too easy.
a good take on the woot theme, and well worth a try on any instagib or arena server

Usually fun? It's w00t for crying out loud! Unorigional, not entertaining, and remade for the nth time. A message to all the w00t remakers out there. Retire from mapping, cause you will never creating anything that is even just half-decent, or only half-crap.

Packages such as sky.utx are not easy to find.. you can say it is too much to include those packages but if you look at the NC upload faq you'll see it is a requirement
Try to search on google with the search word SKY.utx.. Good luck.. Most people won't find it.

Personally, I like some woot maps and others I can't stand. Some woot maps are very simple and some are very complex. I like a little of both, so I downloaded this map and gave it a try.

I thought this map was pretty good. I had fun playing it. Some things I really liked about the map were, good cover in front of the flag stand. I also liked the slime around the flag as that added some challenge. The spinning asteroids was a good touch. The upper area above the flag was nice and wide open. I also liked the overall shape of this map.

However there are also some things that could have been better. I tested this map with the most bots that the mapper suggested (which was 14). The first couple of minutes, it seemed like a DM map as the bots just used
the jump pads and were shooting each other but not grabbing the flag. The bots also seemed to get stuck or loop around the 3 top jump pads in the bases. See image here....

You also have 7 player starts per base but they are all in the same area on the lower part of the base right by the flag, which makes it hard when you have good experienced players playing the map. I suggest moving some of the player starts to the upper level and spreading them out a little more.
I also didn't like the portals. They tele you right by flag, and that makes it kinda too easy to cap if your a quick and experienced player.

I think that the textures are kinda bland and you could of used some more
interesting combination. The coret color texture for the bases are a little
off alignment. Your brush work in UED is not snapped to grid and that might
cause problems for you if your not careful. I liked that you optimized
the map by using the zone portals.

Overall I liked the whole Woot!! feeling of this map. Good job. If you like most Woot maps, then this is a
good download.
