DOM-China_Town | | Map Info |
| | File Name | dom-china_town.zip | Author | Uncle_Bob | Gametype | UT Domination | Date Added | 02-28-2006 | File Version | 1.00 | File Size | 8.04 mb | Player Count | 6-16 | Map Description | Stand alone version of my map submitted with CTC Vol. 3. I have not improved upon any of the critisims mentioned in the recent review in this version excpet that I deleted a light wich was causing huge performance hits and fixed another one which was doing the same. This also solved a crash bug. Unfortunately it still runs slow on older machines. sorry.
I do plan on doing another update to this map whcih will adress the critisism I got in the review. Its just going to take me along time as they is a lot I want to do with it. | Review Rating | -- | User Rating | 8.5 | Overall Rating | -- |

| GTD-Carthage 03-03-2006 03:59 AM MST | Rating: 8.5 | | Definitely, the score desserves it. Though most points go the graphics (especially lighting and the special roof brushes and textures) more than gameplay. :P The roofs are impressive and obviously are made from 3DsMax or anything the like which I have never attempted myself. ;) A prefered download.
| Manticore 03-03-2006 06:35 PM MST | Rating: 8.5 | | To some extent this reminds me of the Hong Kong levels from Deus Ex, including the sound fx which are understated but well done. Although my system handles UT well I found the framerates a bit poor in places.
Despite that this is one of the best maps from this mapper that I have seen and, if you are into UT DOM, is definitely worth the bandwidth.
It would be fun with a large player load and a high pointscore for extended playing and fragging.
Good job!
