| redfist 12-17-2005 08:35 PM MST | | It looks gray and ut04 ish, (screenshot quarterbacking), seems ut04 has an abundance of gray, silver.I dunno UT still offers a really good game and looks and feel.
| mozart 12-17-2005 09:56 PM MST | Rating: 7 | | I think I'm being too generous here and here's why.
The original was fantastic. It was crisp and played really well. It was sized well, the textures and the meshes were clean and sharp it was outstanding in every respect (except for that annoying damn music) and I still play it quite a bit. I keep in on my very special and quite exclusive server (morally bankrupt) which is still down due to stupidity (but that's another story).
this version is a step back. It's got a softer look to it and it's got a little bit different look outside but it's basically a downgraded version of what was an excellent map. I like roy's work but this didn't need to be redone. sorry if I sound harsh.
| Nagromme 01-26-2006 02:19 AM MST | Rating: 7 | | I really like the first Yro, and this plays about the same--plus the same hilarious music! I don't at all mind having different versions of a great map to choose from, and I'll rate each one by itself, for itself.
But I give this one a point less than I gave Yro, because I don't like the feel of it as much (visually). It's just subjective, but I like the clean bright feel of the original more than the gray look of this version.
(I do like the effects outside the windows in this one.)
