I hope you enjoy this very long walk. I must say the music is exquisite. You will appreciate the lengths I went to, to achieve such grandeur. As you can see the quality and design is of the highest order. It stands high and proud above all that has come before it, in more ways then one, lol. | Review Rating | -- | User Rating | 4 | Overall Rating | -- |

| Wesley "Boreas" van Dijk 11-02-2005 07:04 AM MST | Rating: 3.5 | | Not a recommended download. The basic problem: Lack of creative layout (just one straight road) and lack of gameplay. Lacks detail. The only things I did like was the skybox. Oh, and it has bot support. Woohoo.
Edit: Für Elise isn't really a suited piece of music for an intense battle, and the volume is WAY too low.
| Add_x101 11-03-2005 10:39 AM MST | Rating: 4 | | Für Elise, the best part. I think the author was of his face when he made this, or seriously in a state of depression.
Edit: 7.5, cos it was fun and not just a pretty boy...
Edit: goldfenix I was taking the piss. 4.0...
| goldfenix 11-03-2005 06:33 PM MST | Rating: 3 | | Lacks alot of static meshes, decoration, layout, (layout sucks, just a road.) Map probably took a day to make. Doesnot deserve a 7.5, you are obviously a friend of the author and dont know how to rate maps accurately. If youw were to be, I despise of scum like that. Rate it a 10 and make up some shity alabi saying the map is all great but the truth is they're just friends of the author trying to get the rating up. If they aren't friends, they just have really really bad judment.
This map also takes a thousand years to download, even though its empty.
| Helper 11-02-2005 10:04 PM MST | Rating: 3 | | unoriginal and uninspiring.
| hawkwind 11-03-2005 01:08 PM MST | Rating: 6 | | this is a well constructed "joust" type ctf map, not just a road, lots of side platforms for regrouping and waiting. i like the whole idea. weapon layout is making a lot of sense. the RL and shock secondary are great to just clear the enemy off the path. i wish i was playing this with people and not bots, because they don't get the "take the high ground, let the FC load up with shield and health, move down, wait for everyone to show up to support, then attack with all you got" music is good, but i think the Vanilla Fudge version of Fur Elise would be better suited . it has more "edge" gj
edit: when i rate a map, i take into account what it is trying to be. this is a "joust" map. i make no apologies for that. a joust lover? maybe "enthusiast". playing joust frees me from worrying about the base and concentrating on not dying, which is the only way to move the flag forward. in this one. both teams have to climb to the top, regroup and attack . the first to get to the top has an advantage, but only a slight one, then the other team has the advantage. there ARE jump pads, and a couple of platforms going up to and going down from the middle. you can get off the path at various points. mostly, i see a flaw in this whole thing , in that epic didn't write in a joust mode code. so unless you are a coding genious, there is no way for this to work with bots, though, when i get up top, they take me out almost every time. anyway, will try this with peeps asap
| RichyB 11-03-2005 02:03 PM MST | Rating: 6 | | I agree with hawkwind in no way can this be judged on layout or your normal ut2004 map, it’s a joust map. It is also a lot of fun playing it. Killing your enemy and watching them slide all the way down is funny.
My score is because I enjoyed playing it and it’s different from normal.
EDIT: Sicko Teddy Yes I am crazy boo me, I like chocolate cakes. Seriously though I like the challenge I like the idea and I actually find 1on1-Joust to be classy and I also find this to be to.
On a real note how can ones taste make them crazy? In fact that question is crazy.
| Sicko Teddy 11-03-2005 11:01 AM MST | Rating: 4 | | All you "joust" lovers are crazy! The Joust maps are a complete noncence!- no strategy, no thinking, no aiming required! Newbs love them for those reasons!
Just one straight road, where bgoth teams are constrained to run at a straight line at opposite team shots is a total BS. Would be alot better If you added several more pathes! Well OK, if you don't want to loose that JOUST feel in yor map, you could at least add some jumppads on the road, so it would be a littl harder to hit the enemy. Also- team that is on top has lot more adventages over the team below- they see them from above, so they can take them all out like running chickens on the roast table! Add some blocks to hide behind.
But once again - SORRY, I just don't understand what's so cool about JOUST type maps. :
