| John DiFool 10-30-2005 06:43 PM MST | Rating: 2.5 | | As a DM map, this layout can work decently. But for CTF it is hopelessly confusing trying to figure out where the bases are in relation to each other. Lots of inaccessible areas. You'll often spawn right next to the enemy flag. And the bots are completely confused, getting stuck all over the place. Needs a lot more work (color-coded flags could help (in this low tech setting) to help orient yourself) before it is playable for CTF.
| Ve//DeTTa 10-30-2005 08:13 PM MST | | if bots are spawning so close to enemy base, pathnodes probably werent set to team 0 and team 1.
I made a CTF out of a DM map i made and it was a learning experience to get the bots to get and return with flag.
| Evilmrfrank 01-10-2006 12:55 PM MST | | Ok this map was a mistake. I admit, It was a rushed version of a DM map I had made earlier. The DM version is much better because it was made for DM in the start but the ctf version really isnt to great. I will update it someday but not any time soon. If you are planning on downloading this map I suggest you download the DM version I made instead.

(You should add something to block people translocating out of the map). Also, you should stick the flags a bit deeper into the ground so they look like their stuck in
| [N6X]R3plicant 01-09-2006 06:03 PM MST | Rating: 7 | | I made the map with 3 types of game-play, BECAUSE the maps very structure & layout required specific items, (extra Jump-boots or the SLV's etc), that were relevant & integral for each type of game-play! For example; if I had just had the Normal Weapons map for Instagib play, players would have found they would have been unable to get the most out of it while playing with just the Enhanced Shock Rifle, so I added more jump-boots, inc' placing them where other NW items would have been had it been the NW version of the map. I hope I have made myself perfectly clear. THINK before you comment. Thanks. I'm going to download this map to give you a fair and honest comment to add to the end of this one. BRB. Ok, had a run around in your map with 15 bots on Adept skill level. They never once went to go steal the enemy bases' flag, and they had problems 'travelling' very far, some were even walking 'on-the-spot'; however, the brush work is very good, as is texturing and lighting. Sounds are ok too, thought has clearly gone into the feel/look of the map. It took me a good 4-5mins to discover where the Blue flag was after getting hopelessly lost en-route from Red base. That problem aside, I can't see why this map shouldn't be downloaded lots, it's a good map, though to simplify the layout a little more evenly or at least similarly wouldn't go amiss. MY score for your map = 7/10. Would you now care to re-evaluate mine? Thanks.......
