It is a large ctf map because i like a map where i feel i can "breathe". I learned a few new things while in the progress of making this map and i had a lot of fun with it. I stopped adding to the map when my fps got to the mid 80's with my 6800. When my fps were in 150 - 200 range, everything after that is set to bhighdetail. So if you are having fps issues, lower your world detail to normal or lower and you should see a big boost in your fps. Thanks again to hourences for giving me permission to use some things from dm-sae which this map is pretty much based from. I also used his tutorial to help with my cave mesh. The frame rates were bad on my machine to, but all in all a good effort.
| horned demon 09-21-2005 02:48 PM MDT | Rating: 7.5 | | Cave maps right off the back aren't my brand; i rank it 1 spaces above "warehouse" and i rank "warehouse" above "anything made in an hour". But This i make execption for, it's very wide open and has mutiple ways to get the flag. The graphics are decent and there are pleny of landmarks so once you explore the map and remeber where everything is you wont get lost...too often. The FPS kinda lags in some areas, mainly near the flags and on the connecting bridges but some could say this is expected from such a large map. Best of all it dosent feel cramped and i can use low grav to get away from those fearsome bot's!

I thought the gameplay was pretty average for a CTF map and, in my opinion, this is not the best map that this mapper has produced and falls short of the quality of the other maps from this person.
Slightly above average but not much......
