West 09-03-2005 02:22 PM MDT Rating: 0.5   Oh FFS, what is this? A big hall, two pillars in the middle. The assaulting team begins at one end, the defending at the other. The defenders have sentry guns and a crapload of shield belts, the assaulters have nothing. To conquer, the assaulters have to run across the hall and touch a computer terminal. This map is a mockery of the assault game type as it has no layout, no element of strategy, no brains, no looks, no challenge, no nothing. It's either a) a noob map, in which case I'll forgive the author for making a bad map but not for uploading it, or b) an attempt to ensure that Gnome & Sapper won't have any shortage of bad maps to make fun of. In either case, Chopin, your wasting people's time. And don't give me, "this is my first AS map", since only a cursory glance at any good (well, any other really) AS map will inform you that AS-AndACTION has nothing to do with what AS is about. I know this and I'm not even an assault fan!! Don't download this. I'm sure you can find something better to occupy those 146 kbs of hard drive space. But fear not...Sapper is gonna have fun with this one! {EDIT} @GOD_AM - Worry not my good friend. I take comments toward me as constructive criticism no matter how bad it my sound. It seems to me to be somewhat pointless to get pissed off at someone who said something mean to you over the internet, especially if you don't know who that person it. I would just like to let you all know that after conferring with Arcadia regarding a number of things, we are going to "hopefully" wittle down the 700+ requests in the queue list by December. You can expect that Arcadia will be primarily reviewing 2k3 and 2k4 maps while I will be focusing on UT99 WHILE at the same time starting at the very beginning and reviewing ALL of the unreviewed maps from day one. {EDIT} @Sicko Teddy - Thanks for the support. Reviewing maps like this puts your rewiewing skills at the same level as the mappers mapping skills (or lack there of) IMO. While we all enjoy a little humor now and then there are a lot of mappers that put the time and effort into their maps and deserve a review. Reviewing something like this is a slap in the face to those mappers. Edit: @ Sicko Teddy. My crappy map has been in the review query for over 6 months. Furthermore I don't think my comments were rude or out of line at all, so I don't see a point in you telling me to chill out. It seems that every totally useless map that has been submitted lately has gotten an almost instant review while others that have waited patiently, like myself, continue to wait patiently. I will gladly remove my map from the query to give way to someone that has waited as long, or longer for a review on any map with at least some honest effort put into it.
