| Helper 08-26-2005 03:12 AM MDT | Rating: 2 | | I'm giving this a 2 because
It has stupid clan advertising -6
It did some wierd script thing during instant play. -1
The death sequence was very lazy. Also the jail door had ambient light problems.
| G.Lecter 08-28-2005 01:47 PM MDT | | I must agree with Helper, the DOM map is excellent, but the conversion work is quite cheap. I don't understand the reasoning of such bright lights around the switches and jails, and the clan logos are not placed inadvertently (even the PlayerStarts are aiming them!). The execution could have been really much more creative, I would have liked to see the water coming into the jails (which could have been done today or months ago). And I have not seen any arena... :( I thought the map would fit better with Jailbreak, but players often focus in the narrow areas in the middle. [Edit:]Sorry if I am being too harsh, but I'm sure you can do it better. :) And from my point of view, sometimes it's better changing a bit the author's original work to make a map fit other gametypes well. Don't be afraid of resizing (or even adding) rooms/zones if it's necessary... ;)
| BarbWyre 08-28-2005 01:30 PM MDT | | Ok. I am new to this. I removed my comment. I don't like to be adverse to the rules. This was one of my first conversions and I did what my skill level permitted. If that is considered cheap, well so be it. I am still learning and hope to get much better at implementing creative executions. I appreciate the criticism and the feedback. I was not aware that the arena is not showing up so that is another thing to work on. I want the conversion work to complement the work of the original author not take away from it. Thanks guys for the imput. I am back to consult with my mentor and see about improvements.
| Vatcilli zeitchef 09-01-2005 06:26 PM MDT | | I see you re-uploaded it, What exactly has changed? Actually I think this was an exelent choice to convert I'll rate it as soon as it has an execution. Looking at this it is still work-in-progress.
