| koeckchen 08-18-2005 02:18 PM MDT | Rating: 4.5 | | Oh it's me again, having the honor of the first post :D Well, some problems your Anda][XL3 has you find here again. Missing trims in some places, boring lighting (and a missing sundtrack :-P). But this one is at least an original and not just an adaption. Gameplay was'nt very good i think, because the whole map is too open. The very big room in the middle gives only a few spaces for cover. Here you see some of the main problems this map has: 1. Gameplay sucks, you cannot reach the highest level without the translocator, so what do you do when you have the flag? you only stay on the lower levels, it's very easy for your enemy to follow and kill you, add much more cover (and more health!!) and a way to get up there. Inside the bases there was a kicker (nice idea with the fan ;)). I asked myself why you didn't made it kick you up to the highest level. I tried a few times but no way, it's not far/high enough, close but not enough. this would have improved the gameplay a lot i think. 2. empty walls/missing deco. Every wall looks empty and boring, that's a big thing because this is a symmetric map. It's difficult enough to know where you are (blue or red) with such a lighting but without any deco it's even more difficult. Also it's nice to discover some nice things, that shows the authors creativity. One doesn't get bored that fast with more details and decos. What else to say? Hm yeah keep up the good work, i think you have some potential and with some training you could make some nice maps. :)
/edit: play it for more than 5 minutes? You're really funny guy...ok try to find someone else who's interested in helping you or stay at this level for the rest of your life. I don't care anymore.

edit: how can you say you can't use the jumpers just because you don't have the skills to? you are misleading people you see the coments of my map making them not to download it. about the deco, when you are playing do you look at the walls? because i don't, i prefer to shoot at the other guys the most played CTF maps have +/- the same deco then mine. and the colors, my map isn't called CTF-Clubhousewithfunkylights .

I'm a major Excessive fanboy, so I plugged in all those mutes as well as Monsterspawn with all kinds of insane stuff I've made, and the result is an awesome storm of projectiles and gibs pretty much constantly. The bots do a good job, too, considering how hard it is for them to stay alive! Really, if you like massive fire fights, this is a great map.
