Map DescriptionA small domination map for 4 to 10 players.
Though 10 is the max load this will cause an OMG fragfest but no telefrags
The map has 17 playestarts in it to ensure there will be as few telefrags as possible (not looking at the Xloc)
This was an 4 hour map but I still managed to keep it clean from HOMs or undecorated parts

hehe strange that jokes like DM-openwater get all the attention while actual tries to make anything good remain unseen. :/ Ok guess DOM is not one of the most favorable gametypes to make a map in.

@Deathbliss: Too much White light? I'll tell it even better I did not use ANY white lights in it! :p
I made the water damage players to keep them from hanging arround at the corners of the map (I hate maps where you can walk against fake backdrops)
But OK I removed the damage and added a third walkway.
As you did not notice it bots are even smart enough to get the damage amp.
Changed the lights from orange to red and brown.
Oh and by the way Bbrightcorners was checked, thanks!
The update is not here yet.. Mark the red top of the pyramid in the sreenshot, In the update I removed it so You'll be able to see it by the screenshot.

@tgm79: Ok I checked out your maps quite good.
As I said this was a 2-4 hour map so if you know that, Don't bother to download it.
Now we are talking. That is advice that is actually helpfull! Thanks tgm79! I see what you mean, Do you think torchwaver is any better? I'll see them to that.
Also added exta platform and replaced the dom point playerstarts to there. Update soon :D, After all these changes the fps suddenly dropped real far. I don't know what to do can't update it like this.

@redfist: I see, he obviously played too much final fantasy. Never mind gived me a good laughing map is crap anyway.

It's not your work man - everyone hates the Egyptian theme now. DOM-Mummy - put 1 + 1 together... But I'll giv 'er a try!

OK, I tried it and here in a highly compressed form are my thoughts...

First off this map is WAY too small for a DOM! This thing could easily work as a 1 on 1, and could even be too small for that! Give players more room in a map like this - OK?

Secondly your map suffers from whitelightidus. Flames don't emit completely white light - use various shades of orange or yellow in there. Also brighten up that moon (hint Surface Properties/bBrightCorners True) so that it looks more realistic.

Thirdly try to make your maps more AI friendly. I laughed as I watched them jump into the water where they slowly began to die. Speaking of try not to ever use water like that - ESPECIALLY water that plants are growing on o_0 - that kind of water shouldn't be killing you. To make this level better and fix the AI remove the killing aspect of the water.

On the positive side you have some really solid and nice looking architecture, design, and trim work going on here. You also have done some excellent work in the texturing department, although what you have at the top of the pyramid doesn't really fit. In any case I can't wait to see you unleashed on UT 2004!

Overall a very solid if very small DOM level -

It’s small. The architecture is simple, the texture variety is none. Lighting is dull. In one word - average.

EDIT: I see you’ve updated your map.
Things that could be avoided in your future maps: those flames are too high and pointy and that makes them look fake.
Second – in domination maps you shouldn’t put player starts near the control points.
It’s very annoying to clear the area of enemies, claim the point as yours and when you turn your back someone spawns at the point and kills you. But, of course, the map is too small and there isn’t enough places to put them. Also, there should not be direct view from each control point to the other.
That route to the mummy control point should be cleared from obstructions. I can’t remember how many times I stumbled on that ledge and dropped in the water.
The skybox is boring. In your map it takes 80% of the view all the time. Considering this you should’ve concentrated on making it more attractive to the eye. That huge moon looks out of place and like Deathbliss said, is too dark. I notice that you tend to overuse the FireWaver light effect in your maps. Honestly said, the good map makers avoid using it. It doesn’t look very nice.

cool looking map :)
its like 2on2 DOM or something i like it
the skybox is very cool ghehehe
that mummy is also cool, but there is a bug in it :(
but that is not a big problem
keep doing the good work :)
