A few hours ago, it was confirmed that a highly dangerous Israeli warhead called "Phoenix Moon" has been stolen by Islamic fundamentalists. Your target is Castle Lionstone, located on a small rock in the Mediterranean Sea near the archipelago of Malta. We've got reasons to believe that the bomb is now hidden there. Once the terrorists manage to arm the warhead, with a fast boat they could reach cities like Rome, Marsaille or Barcelona within a few hours, so your mission is to recover the bomb as fast as you can...

The only requirement is Unreal Tournament v436. I've done the map without any BonusPack-stuff, so you don't need those. BUT: A pretty fast computer is also required because of the high polycounts and various effects in this map! I would suggest to set your Color-Depth to 32Bit, otherwise some Textures might look a bit ugly.

| Torn_Agressor 07-31-2005 05:39 AM MDT | Rating: 7 | | hm, nice indeed..gameplay was a bit meh, but alot of the time some areas were a little too dark, and cramped which coupled with the fairly complicated layout against godlike bots can be a little frustrating ;P being gunned down by flaks rocketlauncher and turrets in extremely tight corridoors with nowhere to run, not much space for tactics and strategy but rather lob grenades down the corridoor and make a run for it
a challenge is good however i think this map gave way too much advantage to the defenders as they can just camp tight corridoors too easily

| ctph 07-31-2005 06:39 AM MDT | Rating: 7.5 | | This level is set in an intricate, well-constructed castle. The storyline is certainly topical (Islamic terrorists, Israelis, etc) and there are some nice objectives.
The gameplay is fast-paced and at times verges on spammy, certainly with the recommended 10 players. Like Torn_Agressor said, it is a bit too easy to defend. Sometimes the map gets confusing because of its intricacy and the fact a lot of areas are kinda similar. You continually have to go up and down stairs and double back. I had to follow the bots on a number of occasions, but I guess eventually the layout will become familiar. It's not like objectives need to be ridiculously obvious anyway.
Pathing is good. I didn't see the bots get stuck anywhere, except for the poor fool who lit the fuse to blow open the door!
There are some good traps and bonus areas. The architecture is consistent and detailed. Also the end sequence is excellent, making use of multiple camera views.
Basically a good level which is a bit too cramped and confusing.

It looks good. as was said before it does have a number of good objectives. I have to play UT on my laptop cause that's all I have it installed on. (IBM T21 PIII 800MHz savage IX video.)it played very well with no hangups and no lag to speak of. I was impressed with that. I don't really play much assault on UT anymore but I have to say this was a good job. the biggest knock was that it was so small. it says 10 players but with 10 players it gets crowded.
I'm giving it a high scored based on looks and the fact that it plays really well even on a laptop.
