Map DescriptionMassive GravGens keep this madman's dream come true arena airborne. The 'guns' themselves are perfect recreations of the originals used in last year's tournament. Head of Liandri's PR departement, given the difficult task to calm the critics, said the memorable words: "Size DOES matter."

UPDATES:
-improved looks of the weapons: new skins, detailtextures and added lensflares
-slight gameplay improvement regarding some item placement (added two healthstations on the flaks)
-wind sound less annoying (I hope you all agree with me :))
-added sounds (minor) for the flags (when you listen good you can hear them)
-improved locations (when you hit F1 on your keyboard you can see your location normally, but in the old version I placed too many locationvolumes causing some problems - fixed now)
-lighting highly improved (I know it's just bright and white, but what do you expect high up in the clouds?) causing some weird shadows on the guns to disappear which looks more real and because of that I had to create some new skins for the jumppads (you won't notice the diffirence, which is exactly my intention)
-added a new sound for the jumppads (the ones who played the original first Unreal might recognize it :P)
-botpathing slightly improved (I can't do better right now, since most of the falling problems are obvious like they got shot off or jumped after the ball and not really my fault :))
-improved the skin of the energyshield staticmesh on the center jumppads (the yellow ones, which represent neutral territory), now it's a perfect clone of the red en blue ones instead it's now yellow :) (in the original I used a completely diffirent skins which looked kinda ugly)
-improved the emitters in general (I made them spawn instantly when the map is just opened, the old version needed some time before all the smoke fumes were complete...), including making the jumppad's emitters directional towards the direction you will be shot
-improved the map description :P
-greatly improved the skybox textures (all 6 of them) because (eventhough Ice-Dancer, reviewer of the old version, sais otherwise) they didn't align perfectly; now they do thanks to Adobe Photoshop :)
-changed the music, because the old one (KR-SkyScraper.ogg) included a wind sound and made the wind kinda rule the sounds which made it sound (in my opinion) ugly
-some lights on the guns where you can walk over have there own light (try the gigantic green LED's on the Rocket Launchers for starters, the new effect is easily noticed there)

Enjoy and this is my FINAL version of BR-BigGuns, but any comments regarding the map are going to be used for my future maps. :)

Man........it might be version 1.3 or 2 or whatever, but it feels like version 9,keep em comming.

ADD, Singleplayer takes way more to know and do for looks than DM. You have to admit you had a funky map idea here, but you did do and try, what you set out to do. No matter who may, or may not like it, it was still worth a try.
Wich you get a 10 for trying somthing no body else will or might think up, and you may inspire someone else from your idea. All is not "bad" it's what it is.

Like saying I'm the perfect artist or painter, you may think the picture you painted looks awefull, but a bunch of other people say, wow pretty cool.

Thats all I ever do, I have a quik idea flash through and see if I can transpose that idea to a 3d world.
Screw the gameplay, screw the looks, and just make things YOU feel ok about.
And even the very expireinced mappers get stuck on some dumb thing in the editor, but just like anything else, keep practicing. regardless of the outcome.

First: thanks for the complements (except for cursedsoul that is).

Second: I guess my time and effort in this map was invain, only 3 comments, of which 2 are good and 1 is extremely bad. I guess my time is over in the mapping buisness, multiplayer wise. Gameplay is like not understandable for me and eyecandy is not appreciated. I thought I was a gamer, but I guess I'm not since I love eyecandy.

Bye.

EDIT:

I guess I forgot to mention that some previous maps of mine got reviewed and they were bad. Everytime they just ignore eye-candy and say that gameplay isn't very good in my maps. I had personal email contact with a guy at Insite, and he said the exact same thing. I tried, and failed. I guess Multiplayer maps are not my kind of maps to built, I'll move to Singleplayer instead then, since I'm now also on a mod for UT99.

Dude, never let shit like that get you down. You know yourself how good you really are, and with a little practice, anyone can still improve. People here just give their opinion, and 1 negative comment doesn't mean nobody likes it.
