Map DescriptionEveryone's favorite Insite reviewer (well, maybe) finally released a map!

I intended this for 1v1 with no weapon stay or adrenaline, but it works for small FFA and TDM battles too.

Check the readme for a lot of extra info.

Edit: Thanks, Mozi, for pointing out a bug. I somehow accidently made two of the static meshes KActors instead, meaning they have physics attached. You can shoot them and they fly away. :(

This only happens with high physics detail, and only seems to happen if you use that setting before you load the map. This shouldn't affect gameplay aside from giving you a tad more moving room, but it still annoys me I nor anyone else caught this throughout the building and testing period. So... Use normal physics detail and pretend there is no bug! ;)

Liking this map, good layout and with a grubby look.

Edit: There's not many maps i really play , but Turns2Ashes has come up with something great. Its not the most eye candy map out there but it sure as hell has a Wicked Sick layout.

I'd say a lot of thought went into the layout of this map. Good gameplay, decent look and construction....

Worth a download.

I've already posted my detailed opinion on the release thread, so I will just say to the peeps here that if you consider yourself a DM fan of any sort, you need to have this slick piece of work on your hard drive!

It is a bit small and cramped, the trims look odd at corners, but it's not a bad map. Very nice work for a first level, especially in the lighting. Bots play great...

A solid map, but which has some problems:

1. The layout is too small and simple, which the author pointed out already.

2. It does not have that many trick jump oppourtunities.

Still, I think it is a quite good map, and shows that the mapper has talent. So thumbs up.

Edit: Oh yeah, and as a special note the bot pathing is one of the best I've seen. The bots are much deadlier than in an average map.

This map didn't really seem like a factory (if that was what you were trying to make it like.) reguardless of that, it was a cool, spacious, fun indoor arena full of weapons and action, and I like it. It runs pretty good and has alot of stuff in there to explore, climb, and fight on.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't even expect people to like it at all. :P

very nice 1-on-1 map. no need to run around forever to find a fight here!
well made, great layout, and these bots are some of the best trained i have seen. i had to turn down their skill level twice just to have a chance.....
i think there are a lot of skill jump opportunities, lots of ledges and doorways to hide on.
the lighting is mostly excellent, though there is light shining on a wall from a small window in a rain storm, hm... that would have been anice place for a lightning effect.
textures are well chosen, with the exception of the plain brown concrete floors, which could have been used in far fewer places.
definitely server quality!

Too basic with a been there seen that design.Wasn't impressed to say the least.Brush work is way to novice, read some tutorials.I gave it a 1.5 because of the pre school brush work. Decent bot play for a crappy map..keep up the good work.

Uh, this is the Author's first map I belive. Of course his brushwork won't be perfect. But I believe that is is blatantly and horribly unfair to judge a map solely on the quality of the brushwork! For god's sake, does the brushwork affect the play of the map at all if there are no HOMS or holes? This map is better than 80-90% of the maps on NC, and you give it a 1?

That being said, I think this is a terrfic map. The gameplay is fast and intense. The map flows very very well, and it is just really fun to play, for novices or for higher level players. The map looks good enough, although they could have been better. Still, they are very palpable, and although it is industrial its not quite standard fare, as it is carried off a bit differently than usual. Overall, a very good map that makes for some very intense, fun matches.

Looks nice. Haven't played it yet. I'll come back and comment on this one later.

:Edit - K- my only complaint 'bout this one is the ledge with the 'deemer. what is up with the colision? 'mean you sould be able to fall through the gap instead of being able to walk on...nothing, and not being able to get back into the fight or being able to shoot at the bot through the gap. other that that this was a very nice first map. I give this one an 8.
