Map DescriptionAlways seeking to improve it's corporate image, Liandri created this arena where Tournament contestants can broaden their artistic horizons as they fight. Don't stand too close to the pictures while admiring them though, you're liable to get blood and gore all over them and that's not good for the paint.

what's the difference in this and the first version? It did have some nice T&A shots but the map wasn't that good. did you upgrade anything? 23MB is a lot to wait for if there is no significant improvement

OK i'm sorry, I wasn't trying to rag on the mapper. I actually have the nude version. I like it. I think I gave it a 7 or a 7.5 originally, I'm not really sure anymore. what I was after was what kind of improvements did he make? 23MB is a pretty big map. if there is no real improvement then it's not really worth the time to download it again. the mapper himself answered this question and I appreciate that. thanks

I've watched the mapper revise this one several times, having played extensively on previous versions. In that context, he has continually improved upon what I considered to be a very fun map from it's first incarnation. Plenty of folks knock out a map, and that's it - this designer has taken the time to work out the kinks, as well as listen to the feedback from veteran players and mappers to improve it once again. Taken unto itself, the map has great weapons distribution, I like the challenge of having to go underwater for the real goodies, the texture and color combinations are a refreshing break from the industrial maps (can u say blah?) we often encounter, and the addition of the lifts and ramps makes it more than a hi-lo shoot-em up. The art work is a great plus, the Nude version even more delightful for those who would enjoy it. I think it's a well-designed, thoughtfully constructed map that's neither too big nor too small, and it plays quite well on a slightly older (2002) machine, no awkward collisions, holes, etc. BRAVO MOUSE!

Here are the modifications I made.

1- I have removed the outside, all action now takes place inside. There is still a simple skybox so something will show up in the skylights, I kept the outside sound ambiance and the doors leading out are still there, although closed shut. That outside park was simply too darn big and killed the gameplay.

2- I have placed trims everywhere appropriate. It gives the map a much more completed look.

3- I made some changes to the textures, adding details and changing colors here and there, as well as improving the appearance of a few of the custom static meshes.

4- I have changed the distribution of the weapons, limiting myself to the classic ones. There are now two instances of each weapon, except for the assault rifle, which appears only once, and the classic sniper rifle which does not appear at all. There's plenty of ammo included for each weapon.

5- More health has also been placed in the map. Still no adrenaline pills though.

6- All powerups have been placed in the water, making them more challenging and dangerous to get at.

7- I have slightly modified and completely retextured the pickup bases to make them fit better in the map's general look.

8- I have added a sound track taken from the old Unreal game. It is Chizra1, and its calm ancient sounding melody fits very well with the map.

9- I have added elevators to improve up-down mobility, which was sorely in need of it.

10- I also added a couple of elevated walkways to improve z-axis action.

In short, It is now a much leaner, meaner, faster and hopefully better deathmatch map.

Dear Ma!ice. Have you actually downloaded this version? Or even looked at the screenshots? Where do you see porno pics, exactly?

Fantastical Art! Good flow. Good framerates. I like it. It kills me. I give it an 8.

I knew I would find myself staring at the paintings, so I did a fly-through first, to examine all the art. Then I played it and still found myself stopping to admire the art. BOOM! Gotta love it!

I'm not sure what to give this map, The gameplay wasn't really that great and i dont like the lightning, but the architecture looks pretty cool.
I had a lot more fun watching the paintings that playing the map tbh.

Now that's more like it! Too bad you had to drop the outside. I would have played it more often if it were there. I suppose it wouldn't give proper credet to the original map but maybe you could change its name so as not to scare people like me away from it; not that it matters that much to me. Minus a few points for no outside.
