| Manticore 05-10-2005 09:43 AM MDT | Rating: 6 | | Nice mixture of desert theme (which is a bit like DM-Eternal Oceans) and the mining/industrial angle. That being said, in my opinion, the theme could have done without the Egyptian bits.
Lighting is subtle and tasteful.....
Gameplay is a bit average, particularly the placement of the rocket launcher in the dead end which creates a bit of a spamfest.
Apart from the Egyptian stuff it's a good, but average attempt...
| mozart 05-10-2005 09:31 AM MDT | Rating: 4.5 | | sorry, I just wasn't that impressed. basically the play is confined to just a couple of very small areas. What you see in the screenies is just about the whole map! there are some good visuals but that's just not enough to make up for the lack of breathing room. Didn't really enjoy the dead end rocket launcher placement, got caught up on a sharp pointy thinggy trying to get to the link gun and tore my pants and the damn bots bogart the hell out the the supershield. also I would like to have been able to go down in the mine shaft but I noticed you get stuck there and hafta suicide to get out.
