GAMEPLAY Overview of Clone Bandits Clone Bandits is a mod created for Unreal Tournament 2004.
In a post-apocalyptic future, two warring clans of ruffians and ne'er-do-wells have built their outposts over the ruins of an abandoned military research compound, which just happens to be stocked with life-giving clones. Sweet, sweet clones!
As a "Bandito de los Clones" it is your duty to steal this precious genetic cargo from the other team, lest they sully the delicate ribonucleic strands with their inferior (dare I say - scurvy?) adenine and thymine. Check out the "How to Play" section for more details on how to steal clones.
Capture the Clone Pumps to siphon clones from your enemy's supply or boldly invade their compound, grab Clone Jars, and hightail it back to your own base in a selection of tricked-out vehicles. Drop 'em off at your own Jar Points to complete the transaction. Trafficking in human flesh was never so easy or fun!

bright_eyes, (cant comment twice so the answer goes here) Thanks for your friendly comment. One more CB mapper out there is Screech, he is mapping for the mod as well, and pretty good i think. To the maps, they are conversions of fine ONS-maps- all done with permission. Kurt Loeffler´s ONS-Chainisle,(deleted from NC) Frank'Noz'Bakker´s ONS-Valarna,(deleted from NC) Ben Beckwith´s ONS-IslandHop, modified for Clone Bandits. I tried to make them CB-stylish, same for the vehicles. The vehicles may of course be used by anyone for own projects.
| bright_eyes 04-21-2005 05:05 PM MDT | | First, let me inform anyone here at NC that doesn't know:
Clone Bandits is (IMO) one of the best UT2004 mods (when i say 'mod' it is really a new gametype) out there after Jailbreak and Deathball and has been featured on many gaming mags including PC Gamer. Also included in the UT2004 ECE Edition (that's how 'high-quality' it is).
It contains three original vehicles which are lounge tank (flamingo mines!), russian rocket powered motorbike (self-destructible :D) and a modded car (with afterburner and miniguns). All vehicles are polished and work perfectly.
The gameplay has already been well explained by hollib and I can tell you that it is simply great. The maps are also well designed and it is like a big mix of CTF, ONS, BR and DOM.
So, if u haven't got already - trust me, ;) go download it.
Now, to these maps. I wanted to ask hollib whether these are offical maps (ie. are you a part of the Clone Bandits team?) and whether the new vehicles are also official.
As far as I remember the last release of Clone Bandits contained three official maps and I'm glad to see these appear here on NC. :)
EDIT - just checked and it seems that you (hollib) are one of (if not 'the only') prominent custom designer for Clone Bandits.
| Ma!ice 04-23-2005 09:55 PM MDT | Rating: 7 | | Well it looks good, but maybe needs a few little changes to work well with Clone Bandits, the vehicles get stuck on the bridge railings way too easy.
No bot support I guess, and that's a big one. :(
And the new vehicles are really cool! :)
