Map DescriptionThis map was made with a small room because i am in a binslayer clan, and we are a clan that likes small maps with it being hard to very hard to score. And the big room is there just to add the element of suprise to the defense when you take the other teams flag, and to give the flag runner a chance to score.(I made it hard for defenders because that is what my job is in this clan and the harder the challange the better)

Please don't upload your map if no effort was put into it. coz the crap section is at its limit.

>Some advice ftbheavyarms:1 for your screenshots, start your level without any bots, kill yourself then type in fly and take the screenshot, then the screenshot won't have your crosshair, gun, or HUD in it.2 make light scources for your lights. From your level screenshots i'd say some tourches would do nicely. I'll dl your level and give you a little more advice later

Haven't dl the new one yet but after looking at the origonal here is some more stuff. Maps like yours are always cool to beginers, i made a dm map with 5 cubes with halways connecting them and invisible teleporters that you had to accidentlly find and I thought that it was the best map in the world. I soon learned from tutorials and other maps that you need alot more than standard BSP geometry to make a map. To make a community appealing map, you need to have such elements as z axis, detail, curves, lifts, jump pads, areas where you can predict your enemy's next move, and lots of other things. You've started out well just as GTD-Carthage said. Here are some tutorial sites i used or still use: http://www.leveldesigner.com/index.php?action=cat&ID=1

Or simply remove all bots in Practice Mode and play as a spectator... then take the screenshot and the rest: do what the guy above said.

And comments about the map: it's REAL bad. But, no. You're not gonna stop mapping. You have to read more tutorials about the powers of UEd2 you can harness. You're not just gonna make a several cuby rooms connected by cuby corridors. Add some detail... try checking out other levels for reference. After that, check out the 2D Shape Editor and learn how to make a mover. Those aspects would push you right out off the beginner spot and into the mappage arena.

1st off let me say thanks guys for the comments and tips you have given me.
2nd I guess I should of said what the purpose of this map was in the map discription. Well here it is and I will add it up top later. This map was made with a small room because i am in a binslayer clan, and we are a clan that likes small maps with it being hard to very hard to score. And the big room is there just to add the element of suprise to the defense when you take the other teams flag, and to give the flag runner a chance to score.(I made it hard for defenders because that is what my job is in this clan and the harder the challange the better)
