Again map is too big allthough it's not too bad,but this level NEEDS brightskins to see the bots. There is to much around to differentiate between background and enemies.
I can see through the terain by that statue there on the ledge(no biggie). I wish you could go under the short little bridge,I would like this map if the outsides were about 25 feet away from the main structure. The outside ruins it for FPS and a good fighting match. But it's a pretty good map, just too big for DM.
YOU all should try this map,it's better than you think.

| mozart 07-19-2005 05:00 PM MDT | Rating: 7 | | Hmmm, it doesn't look like anyone else is going to comment on this. That's a shame since this map is really too good to ignore so I will. I don't have a screaming rig-- 1Gh P3,512 ram, 64MB Geforce 2 and I haven't had any problems. It plays well, and frame rate hasn't been an issue. I don't have any lag problems even running all the extras I have like akimbo arena, about 3492 voice and skin packs and a number of weapon mods. So I guess, I don't have any complaints about the build.
The real issues to me are - what does it look like - does it work - can I play with just the bots - is it believable
the answer to all of these is yes. The look is very similar to some other favorites of mine, Albatross, Achilles come to mind (maybe a little too close) That's ok though because it does have enough of it's own character to make up for the similarities.
It has a great weapon/sheild selection, everything is there and nothing is too tough to get to. although it's a little harder if someone is shooting at you :)
It has some good z axis, and it's pretty open. You can still snipe but you have to be good to do so. (I hate snipers by the way).
The bots play ok but aren't as fearsome as some maps I've played (orphanage for example). They will come after you and play a good game at masterful.
It has all the elements of a good map, the setting is good the characters are good, the flow is good. I guess I don't know anything about gameplay but I think it's good. Really about the biggest knock on this map that I can see is that it is too familiar. It's too much like others that I enjoy but I still like it and I still play it a lot.
I keep a rotation of about 30 maps that I play regularly. I'll try anything but I keep a core that I play a lot. I downloaded this one when it was first posted and play it quite a bit. It's definately worth the DL and I'll go one step further and say it's for sure a keeper. If this is your first map, I can't wait to see your next one. You've got talent. This is nice work keep it up.

......just about average.
| Deathbliss 07-21-2005 11:41 PM MDT | | This wouldn't happen to be the completed version of DM-Bertilak, of which there is a thread over at Unreal Playground would it? Because if it is I advise the author to head over to that thread and give it a good read. - Deathbliss
