Map DescriptionThis is my 2nd created map after making some simple ones for ut. Its on a odd alien planet with spiky strees and much open field. The bases are the two crashed ships to be found on each side of the map, since the map is mirrored.
I'm always happy for comments, even when the map has relesed a long time ago ;)

Very nice looking Map with extensive interesting use of Shaders, good StaticMeshing, nicely made Terrain, nicely Decorated Terrain, and very nice Lighting details.

Unfortunetly the Gameplay suffers from a confusing path setup(in time this would decrease) and a transport tube that seems too slow and tends to let the player fall through unless the player is in the right part of it. Bots generally work well, but in a few key spots where they need to jump they just try over and over again to no avail.

I really like the fact that a BR Map gets made once in awhile and this Map certainly is very fine looking, but IMO the Gameplay doesn't match with looks of the Map, thus dragging the score down.

Tnx sandorski, yeah i notice the bots here in ut2004 are much more stupid than in ut classic. sometimes they just jump into the ravine without a reason. Also i saw indead that sometimes they wanne jump into the teleporter and not be able to get in, what for me strange sine 95% does it normal, and i didn't have trouble eighter if i don't correct.
I don't have troubles with the tube, accept the bots doesn't shoot back when inside. but if they get shot by a shockrifle, yeah they might fell out by 2 good shots. Also somehow they don't see the tube as a starting path at the beginning, ones the game is running they do.

The things i would say, the map might be to big if you don't follow the bots very well. if you do follow them (and learn witch way is best and wich way to walk when the ball is moving) well you always see the big action. The map maybe a bit on the big sise, the ship is too small. The ship itself is on a scale 0.8, I was afraid it was to big (it seemed i was wrong again :/ ). but change that, will cost me many hours, and i'm sick by that "not able to mirror things". i need to replace all meshes and brushes, thats very hard on a 3 times twisted objects.
Another thing is the map is very sensitive to the translocator. the gameplay chances dramaticly. Infact with real players, it might get a "cheating" map.
Another thing, if i start the map i got a great fps, but after 10 min (don't know if it is my pc) it dropes, at some places it could be starting to get ennoying.
Never the less, for me its a great map, i used no standard meshes only self made (however i just figured out not to create meshes inside the editor itself), no fony lighting, they only come from the light sources, witch creates some nicely shadows.
Its nice to play in these open fields, but no to open so bots can shoot you without knowing they are there. For me the map is great to play.
Why don't you try it for yourself :))
