| sandorski 03-06-2005 08:24 AM MST | Rating: 2.5 | | The name says it all, this is a map about graphics first and foremost. It's not a vast amount of Graphics either, but for what's there it's interesting, especially for someone who has ever tried to make Textures. The Texture on the Wall looks great form a distance, though it doesn't look so great closeup, but from a distance it looks like a 3D StaticMesh. Unfortunetly that's the best part of the Map.
The Map is playable though, meaning that everything you'd see in a CTF Map is included, but as a CTF Map it has some serious issues:
1) Weapon/Ammo placement is poor, giving too much of even the basic weapons. Add in the Superweapons and thins get out of hand for such a Map 2) Everyone Spawns close to the Flag 3) Though there is an Above and Below, everything happens on the Mid section, meaning there is no Z-axis play to speak of 4) The Map is a Huge Cube with Walkways for the middle level, Lifts/Anti-Grav SpeedTubes for the lower level, and Teleporter/Steps for the Upper Level. Very basic design. 5) The absolute worst part of the Map is that there are 2 joining Teleporters just a few seconds from each Flag! No need to bother going anywhere, within 1 minute both Teams could be fighting for the 3rd and final Capture.
