CTF-DBSMeditation | | Map Info |
| | File Name | ctf-dbsmeditation.zip | Author | Mars | Gametype | UT Capture the Flag | Date Added | 02-23-2005 | File Version | 1.00 | File Size | 3.93 mb | Player Count | 8-16 | Map Description | This Capture The Flag arena is a recreation of an ancient meditation temple. Unfortunately for Liandri, archeologists were unwilling to give up rights to the original. However, Tournament officials felt there was so much potential for CTF play they commissioned the construction of a replica. Very little is yet known about the original temple, though it is believed that coronations were among its many uses. | Review Rating | -- | User Rating | -- | Overall Rating | -- |

| CursedSoul1 02-25-2005 06:10 AM MST | | MArs, ive seen a lot of maps from you now, never commented on them becouse it would mostly (only) be low scores.
Id advice you to look more at the high rated maps here on nalicity, and even the better maps that came with the retail.
also check out tutorials like the ones on http://www.planetunreal.com/phalanx , http://nalicity.beyondunreal.com/view_content.php , http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/wiki/ and http://www.birrabrothers.com/drac/ued2.html so you can improve the quality of your maps. becouse atm they are way below standard.
lol, xeptizz its ut. (ut99 as you call it for some weird reason)
yea mars :) keep on mapping. Best advice ive had, take a look at good maps :)
| XepptizZ 02-24-2005 11:38 AM MST | | Lookin at the lighting and how those meshes seem to cast shadows I think it's not even UT99, but I might well be wrong considering I'm basing this solely on the screenshots.
EDIT: Heh, I know UT is the only UT, but many will not always understand it otherwise.
| Mars 02-24-2005 02:53 PM MST | | I realize that there are a lot of newbie mistakes in 3 maps that I released. Couple that with the peice of garbage computer that I built them on (try doing lightinig for a map when all you have for graphics is software rendering.... it's FUN!!!), and you can get some pretty funky results. What I was really hopping for with the release of these maps is feedback on the basic layout, especially with this one. If you (or anyone) want to discuss any of the maps, feel free to visit the message board for my and my friends' mapping efforts at teamvertex.proboards41.com Exuse the size of the boards, it's only a few days old.....

edit: on second thought, I will say one more thing. The fact that these folks here haven't assigned a rating to your map, should tell you something itself. Right? Keep going, you have potential!
