But these are by no means bad things - this map is very good. This one of those 1on1 maps where hitscans are not in the dominating positions. This will definitely upset the pro players. "Waah waah, no room for LG or ASDM, I can't play this, waah waah waah". But I can tell you, there are places where you can use hitscan weapons, but you just have to rely on the other weapons.
Anyway, the layout is quite cramped, and spiced up with Z-axis. I would have liked a bit bigger and more complex layout (though not more open) because this usually adds more tactical depth. The map still offers these, but special moves cannot be used too much. Gameplay is surely much different to other maps.
The map looks above average, and has some new nifty static meshes. Music is well chosen and adds a great deal to the atmosphere.
All in all, we have an above average duelling map that has a unique gameplay. I wouldn't recommend this to those who hate cramped maps, though.

| Fuzzy Logic 03-20-2005 07:55 AM MST | Rating: 9.5 | | This has everything: impressive visuals, flow, good item placement. Atmosphere is great - this map is how Quake should have been. Gameplay is oustanding, pure ownage in fact.
The best thing I can say about this map is I can't think of one thing I would want changing. Fragtastic!
