| Wehtam 02-21-2005 10:52 AM MST | Rating: 7 | | Yeah i like the feel of the map, seems very alien and strange, but in a good way, the warm lighting accents the red planet above. the touches of greenery on the terrain gives a nice bit of variation. the bots played an excellent match and explored the height and width of the map. maybe a tad heavy on the weapons, ammo, powerups for my liking but i dont think it proves a disadvantage. i noticed you included some technological static meshes, which was a nice idea but i felt they were few and far between. if you wanted to give the impression that this map was once inhabited by some sort of mining expedition or civilization then i reckon you could have included more in the way of man-made structures. all in all a great frag fest

The planet is a little too big for my taste but on the other hand it's somewhat threatening. on the whole that map's based on a really nice idea but it just doesn't feel as alive as it might have - but hey: it's pretty nice for a first (ut) map though. so i'm kinda looking forward to what you might do next =)

Thanks for the comments--glad for the feedback. The bit w/ the Shiptech staticmeshes came up when I first put it out in beta. The look I was going for was, 'we came, we set up some lights and a computer bank, and then we vanished.' It does clash with the overwhelming nature/red rocks theme, but I wanted some sort of contrast in there.
Next map? Hopefully in the next couple of months.
-Thanks again-
