G.Lecter 01-04-2005 03:38 PM MST   Download it if you have the jailbreak mod! - The red jail should be in the blue base & vice-versa, but it is not bad as it is now. - The execution sequence is simple, but funny... - Both level preview & Custom LoadingScreen are included. - It is only a port from the CTF verson, not a really hard work, but anyway there is nothing bad in this level and runs well in Jailbreak... Edit: Seems like people does not like I rated the map, so I remove it... Sure, original maps are much better, but conversions, especially when they suit the mod particularly well, are fine and provide just as much fun and more variety. A conversion can also be a good way to learn the ropes of mapping - I did exactly the same thing when I started out. I suspect the map was put here as a convenient & reliable place to download it, and perhaps get a few comments on how it suits Jailbreak, even bugs if it has any, not for people to judge it on the mapper's skills or to express their opinions on converted maps. We can have a small number of original maps, or a larger number consisting of a few well-suited conversions - I know which I'd choose :) CoolDude 01-04-2005 09:01 AM MST   For Jailbreak, if the jails are too close to their own release button, it most of the time will mess up the gameplay badly (instead of invading the enemies base, you'll be busy recapturing your own base, which I normally don't like). Lot's of JB maps are set up like this one, so for me reversing the jails is a nono. I don't take credit for the map, it's a conversion as clearly stated in the map description. I only thought it would be a nice suitable map to convert to Jailbreak, so I did. It's not the first conversion and it probably won't be the last. I put it on NaliCity to make the map available to the people. I myself primairily judge maps on gameplay, then on looks and orginality. Sure, it's nice if the maps is original, but if the gameplay sucks people don't wanna play it anyway. But hey, everybody is entitled to their own opinion ;)
