well, actually your long work on this map has payed! REALLY cool map here. recommended download! i like the architecture and it's amazing to see how your staticmeshes add to it (i especially noticed the walls with all these windows - somewhat few static meshes there but a great effect imo). lighting is another thing that's really nice - contrasting warm and cold lights and stuff. but some of the lights were a bit too intense (maybe change saturation a bit to make it look a bit more realistic or something). also it's nice to see some inviting screenshots for a map, a lot of people place screens that are simply too dark or even featureless...
nice work dude ;)
EDIT: just noticed the 1337 easter egg - i've seen quite a lot of them in other maps but they all suck in comparison to this one =D r0x0r

I don't like playing 1on1 very much (I am not very good), but I like 1on1 maps and I think this one is a masterpiece: - Visuals: Ooohhh, it's one of the nicest maps I have seen... - Layout: Perfect for 1on1. Lots of z-axis & liftjumps. - Item placement: Items are very well placed too, (I don't like the x2damage in 1on1. The ShockRifle is my favourite weapon and it is a bit difficult to get). - Bots: Bots are correctly pathed, including all the liftjumps. I played the level in Masterful with 1on1UltraDuel mod & I could not win...
Neoduck, keep mapping DM levels, but try to make your next one bigger, for 5-6 players... ;)

WoW,if anything it's not to small for 1 on 1 I just ran 7 bots and it seemed like a normal map this could be 2 on 2 easily,everything is looking pretty damn good. My only complaint wich bugs me but not a bad thing are the areas that are blocked but you can still see back there.mabye some kinda of grate or somthing to show (don't try and get back in here a__ho__) hehe. But map is pretty good on ALL aspects of the game,looks,play,and fps could be slightly beter but I should have faster system,but ran slightly slower than most levels.

In the usual ownage category Neoduck's maps fall into. On thing that does get to me is that the minigun and shock rifle don't really get alot of play due to thier rather inconvenient locations. That and, sometimes, projectiles go through the wire mesh holding the U-damage up.

butterflies around lighting, nice touch. (some act like retards though :P) moving bamboo door pwnz. awesome easter egg!!!! I like the animated bushes and trees, leafs on the floor and the falling leafs. superb meshes > some have minor glitches, but not really noticable. nice walljumps :) awesome atmoshpere, tranquil, I like the broken walls very nice layout, flows like a river I also like the iclicles on the roof, not to many. lighting is very nice, nothing feels out of place. You can walk over the wires that hold the platforms wich add to the layout. need eyes in my back to see all around me, one moment im the hunter, the other time im the hunted. good fps.
small bsp prob. some minor texture seams. sometimes i die when i start the game. bot got stuck on roof after liftjump...
thats it.
Like I said before, I love this map, but it cant compete with meitak imho. But thats becouse I have sex with it on regular basis. Though sometimes id like some eastern maps as well :)
Also, imho this is one of the best executed 'early day' lightage ive seen.

Excelent. Lovely lighting a good way of using the Japanese stuff from CTF-Moondragon it contrasts well with the snow. There are lots of liitle details like a bamboo gate to hills which swings open with the wind, butterflies fly around torches. The level is true eyecandy. As Kantham said it sint really suited to 1 on 1, it takes a while for you to find the other guy or girl. When you get more players it gets fast and furious and it flows well. Its not just lots of streets there are more interconnected open areas with multiple levels which makes things more intersting and kaes for a great layout. Highly recommended.

A map set "somewhere on the border between China and Japan"? You know they aren't next to each other...
Map is good gameplay wise for 4 or so players rather than 2, but those purple trees look a bit out of place and some of the shadows seem a bit too dark given how bright the sky is.

this is an awsome map, i like the snowy theme, hasnt been done yet :) i dont think the purple tree is out of place, there are lots of trees like that in japan.

This is one of the best map I ever seen for ut2004! I don't like the lamps and bamboo at the bottom of the map 'cause they block the flow imo.

The usual problem of naming a map 1on1 when it isn't. But who cares when a map is as good as this. Looks great and plays great. You just have to love that falling snow :) The highest part of the map is just a bit disconnected and out of it. Only that small area of weakness stops this getting a 10.

very cool map. I especially enjoyed the contrast of speeding through the lower snow covered corridoors, adversed to the airy vistas on the upper balconies/walkways. I also very much liked the backdrop. Thanks!

Interresting map! Layout is certainly different, but there are not many places to use close quarter's weapons. Also the FPS is a bit bad at places.

I played it yesturday ONLINE, i must admit i had more fun playing it offline. The frame rates are conssiderably low for the size of it, and the layout is made so the shock rifle and ltg is good. Those corridors at the bottom feels a little too cheap, since the bio and flak completely own there, that is in the corridors, once you get out of them there is someone that is wating you with a shock rifle in hand. You had to put the shock rifle on the top with the link gun otherwise the map would be so spamish. But with that kind of layout, i must admit you did a good job.
