Map DescriptionAn arena of the titans - created by Liandri to settle a dispute for a finals match when there was a heated disagreement over the place of combat. This fabricated arena was well recieved by fans and competitors alike, and has now entered common rotation due to popular demand.

Should be a fun romp in something a little different - bascially four platforms floating in space but with normal gravity on them, connected with jump pads. Try it and see if you like it, gameplay should be decent.

Again, have to check it out when I finish my homework,
But I already 'know' what kind of theme this is.
Did about the same back in the ut days, but it was less original than yours.

Can’t wait to see this map ingame.
Will update ASAP.

Edit: played it.

Hmmz, I hoped for something better.
Your idea is very nice, I haven’t seen maps like this so far (if there are any please say so)

First of the entire layout, 4 floating islands in space.
So far so good.
The gravity in your map is imho a bit to high, because of that you are forced to stay airborne for a long time, combine this with the jump pads that you placed and you are airborne long enough for the enemy to take his time and snipe your head off.
This could be improved by lowering the gravity a bit so you move/fall faster.
Also I suggest you tweak your jumppads so you accidentally don’t 'fall' on another jumppad that in his turn 'accidentally' blasts you over the islands (with or without moving in the air) and falling a long way down.
Some of the jumppads are done with more care than others I think.
The layout is fairly simple, this could be improved by having multiple levels on one isle, since now its mostly floating in the air or moving over the roundish isle's each with their own terrain
(I sometimes got stuck while moving over the terrain)
Also you got plenty o room to make your isle's look nicer, especially the platforms itself.
Your skybox is a bit dull, if you look at some of the spacemaps in 2k4 you can see that they are more dynamic than yours, I'm not saying it’s a bad thing, but spicing things up would make this map so much more fun.
The fact that the gravity on the islands itself is normal makes for a decent fight when both players are on the same island.
While one is floating trough space, he can easily snipe you, or you can easily snipe him, that’s why I suggested multiple levels on the isles since this will improve tactical play and z-axis combat even more.

It’s a nice map, but I suggest when you have more experience or more time on your hands you should improve and spice up this map to make it a real jewel.

Yes I might be very critical, but all I’m trying to say is, you got something nice here, make it nicer :)

Thank you much for the suggestions Cursed, I'll keep them in mind and probably come back to it after I finish the map I'm working on now. Anyone else out there try it?

The textures look a bit simple, but I so enjoyed playing this map.
Bots work terific on it, very nice work.
