There is a secret, that if discovered will allow you to appear at the top of the building wielding The Redeemer and U-Damage! The bots know this secret so keep your eyes open to see where its at. This map is primarily a sniping/camper map, but works with regular weapons, insta, and Redeemer matches. | Derdak2rot 11-28-2004 11:41 AM MST | Rating: 6 | | I think it's a fun map but i have a problem with some author's choices : why the teleporter in the upper way don't work ? the different decks are too linear with little ramp , i falling everytime when a bots shoot me , also the skybox is a little too dark . I liked the lifts , the lightning is good ( i love red ) and the music is pretty . in my opinion , good map but could be better !
| Ve//DeTTa 11-29-2004 03:12 PM MST | | the upper teleporter is one way. I made it visible so people would know there was a place to go (the secret) that would bring you back to that teleporter.
I wanted the atmosphere to be "dusk" like. Its hard to make the lighting just right when i have only 1 system to see it on.
Thanks alot for the review Derdek2rot! EDIT: Thanks FragNBrag and John DiFool! Lava doesnt glow all that much once it has a skin on it thats' cooling off:) Again, I didnt want it to light or the "dusk" effect would be ruined. Sorry if its a little dark on your system. On mine even the darkest areas are light enough for me to see fine. From now on I'll bump up lighting just a little more than i think is necessary to try to cover other types of vid cards.

Cool the tele was a bit odd and the white floor lights could have cast a bit more maybe - also some bright but small radius (cool bluish) lights around or attached to on the lifts would've a been nice touch for a bit of contrast (and also to make the lifts more visible :) um, shouldn't lava glow more? the skybox nice, i would have spread the blend out more to cover a bit more visible area, but still a nice effect - good map - had some fun matches with 7 godlikes, they kicked my a$$ ;) cheers
| John DiFool 11-29-2004 12:49 PM MST | Rating: 6.5 | | Yeah, I had to crank the gamma up too. Very enjoyable using one of those hunter mods. Flow is iffy because of the need to wait for those elevators-should have a few stairways in there too. Still, for a hunt/snipe kind of map, a fun design...
