A small 2v2 map made for Insta, which’s why the item placement is very haphazard. All the weapons are placed in the one location of their respective bases, which means you’re fully loaded, for your flag run. The centre canyon is straddled by a flat bridge, of which holds the SB. The AMP is floating above it, mid-air!! Below the bridge you have a Keg-o-Health, but i cant think for the life of me why?! When (in the heat of battle) you get it, there's no way to get back up! Fall in the canyon and you simply stay alive, because the health you just picked up, gives you enough to survive the drop, a deathzone is needed. A round up on item placement? Its terrible, you can really see, it's from a none weapons player;D
The map itself isn't that bad, you have bases facing and the canyon in the middle. Each base contains teleports; one takes you to the sniper area, the other to a side cave, for fast flag escaping. Bases have some nice details to them, crates cover much of the bases floor. The side walls/rocks look good. With the aid of some jump boots, you can use them as a route home. Lighting is dull, the sources are not bright enough and contain too much radius, you get feeling that the light doesn't actually come from fixtures. The skybox fits well, looks ok too. I did like the half open doors to the bases, looks very effective. Overall, the architecture works for me, you do feel like your in some place, somewhere. Get some help on the lighting Nikkke and the map will look a lot better.
Playability of the map is very good indeed, only fault is the canyon, yes it is a major one but, easily fixed. The game play; I played this in a 2v2 test and i must say it's very fast and enjoyable to play. It all flows well and if your an insta player, you'll love this as much as, if not more than, CTF-Tutorial. Fast, compact and action packed, IF you get that canyon fixed. I really think this is a good map and with a little love, it could be a winner, especially for the insta guys out there. I must say, the map has no pathing so, you may not see the gameplay my way. I did it with humans:D
Nikkke, come see me on irc and i'll give you some help on lighting and that silly canyon;P (Nighty)

| GTD-Carthage 10-30-2004 11:40 PM MDT | Rating: 5 | | In detail and architecture, the map looks fine. The night-lighting feels just good. The lay-out needs some work though since the two bases are just right in front of each other separated by a deep canyon. Weapon placement would be one of the greatest issues since good arsenal is already supplied in either bases' storage rooms. Only one sniper nest for each base which barely any bots go to. Gameplay is too full-contact here but the physical means of the map is at least gradually-above averagely done.
