This is a pretty damn good assault map, I would say a definite get. This is definately an MSUC contender. While I feel that the looks are not completly up to scratch with thrust, they are not bad. The atmosphere is well carried out throughout the whole map with the storm raging outside, and the cloudy blues and greys used inside. The visuals are better than most of whats out there, but where this map really shines is with the gameplay. My only gripe is that it is a little too defender friendly - all of the objectives are hard to approach and attack. Aside from that, it wont take too long to learn the map, but it would be well worthwhile to do so as there are numerous things that balance out the map between offence and defence more, such as easy headshots through the bars leading into the second objective :)
Despite the huge filesize, I would reccommend this for anyone looking for some good custom assault maps, and god knows we need some.

THE GOOD:
A Full-Fledged Map. AS-Vindication is a complete package, inclusive of backstory and voice acting for the briefing. Given the dashed-off, half-finished nature of the average third-party assault map, it's always nice to see an author go the extra mile.
THE BAD:
The Blandness. Lighting and texturing serve to give the map an extremely washed-out look, with nothing that really catches the eye; architecture, while generally decent, feels slightly underdone and is not as detailed as it could be, particularly in the installation interiors. On the whole, the map suffers less from what it is than from what it could be; oftentimes, it feels like it's just a few visual tweaks away from being genuine A-list material.
An Uphill Struggle. The map's layout is noticeably biased towards the defending team, particularly as the match progresses and the attackers are forced to surmount multiple obstacles just to reach an already-defended objective.
Botplay. Bots deliver a competent match, but do so in a very jittery, erratic fashion. Occasional weirdness with bots clustering up in large groups between objectives.
THE VERDICT:
Above-average Assault map in search of a final coat of polish.

Although not quite up to the standards of the the stock AS maps Vindication is imho one of the best custom AS maps to date.
As mentioned before the visuals are not stunning yet they are not bad either. What makes this map better than the majority of the other custom maps is its good gameplay. All objectives have multiple routes/choke points and a healthy variety of weapons for the defenders and attackers. Another small but nice touch was the inclusion of the optional tank/spawn objective. Finally the varied terrain and the sence of progression through the map makes the play more lively.
Very nice effort Hellfire.

As far as the map and gameplay goes it's all been said. Definitely a decent and challenging AS experience.
How about we all stop playing maps and just comment on the fucking screenshots for a change?
(Just in case you don't get it I was being sarcastic. "Well d'er....")

AS-Vindication is easily the best custom AS map to date. Visually it has a nice flow from terrain, water fall, indoors, then back outdoors and indoors for the final objective. The environment is not all that convincing as a power station but it works.
Some parts architecture and textures seem a bit simplistic but its very clean and well put together. A little more flair could have raised the atmosphere to the next level.
At this point I'm all out of negative things to say about the map because it plays like a dream. The map is done using the ten commandments of Assault mapping. Multiple routes to objectives well tested weapon balance and weapon placement. Objectives are well mixed and the environment is different enough to create interesting DM scenarios.
You got optional objectives with the tank, extra route to come round back in the final objective. Its near perfect from a game play standpoint. Playing with bots does it no justice. In fact people shouldn't ever comment on game play for any map type based on bot play.
Some people get lost in the first indoor section but its pretty straight forward after a few runs through. Arrows directing defenders and attackers to objectives alleviates this issue. Compared to some of the incredibly detailed maps the community puts out its not graphically awe inspiring but it’s not shabby at all. Game play definitely puts the map on the must have list for anyone who enjoys Assault.

This map is really one of the best playing assault maps to date, - tight, fast, balanced and fun. Unfortunately the visuals are somewhat bland and the theme is inconsistant throughout. A definite 'download me' and well worth the play, its just too bad the visuals aren't on part with that.

Not going to Rate the Map, as I quit playing after a few minutes. Overall it looks to be a really nicely made map, but the Weapon choices for the Attacking Team for the first Waypoint just pissed me off too much for me to continue playing it. :D

It was okay, except that damn wall had so much life that it took all my ammo, a redeemer shot, 4 ion cannon shots, then some flak and minigun shots. The bases were really detailed in parts, then in other areas it was low detail and spiky terrain.
