now try and learn to use meshes in a way to enhance the looks of your map, and vertex editing to optimal use brushes :)
@ redfist, sure you need to learn how to use the editor first, but learning to use static meshes is a must in ut2k4/ued 3.0 so dont say he has to forget about it. he has to learn to use em asap.
| redfist 09-03-2004 12:35 AM MDT | | Forget about adding all that mesh crap for now,with that lift i do believe you didn't want peaple to get hurt to jump down?if so,use a trigger at the top so mover will come up and call make mover "trigger open timed".And set triggers event to the same as the tag of mover.Those blue wall size textures looks to big,the scale is not really looking right.Leave the wall textures alone,but make the floors another texture and the cielings another,That will give you a better 3d look.and the light meshes in there possibly make them "unlit" or move the light closer ,cause the white part of it is gray,or make light small radius and crank it's brightness.Then youl need a global (another light)to make room look natural.Wich should have a larger radius and dimmer,go by the shadows.really cant score map,but redo this one somemore,and rearange for better fighting.Then try another level to do.
| sandorski 11-07-2004 08:28 PM MST | Rating: 2.5 | | More Mesh "crap" please, this Map is very bare. Layouts ok, but there are a number of flow problems:
1) the bots like to meander underneath the lifts, make the lifts crush Players to keep them functioning or Path the Bots so they move out of the way.
2) The area around the ring needs Jumppads, lifts, or something else besides the 1 Ladder
3) more ways to get rom one part of the Map to other parts is needed besides the Lifts.
