Map DescriptionSet in the former drainage system for the Tokara Forest Arena. Later refurbished to provide a practice arena for the Tokara Forest competitors. After the Forest Arena became mostly destroyed from the constant tournaments, the forest and practice arenas were left derelict. Now, disused and slightly run-down, the practice arena was recently re-acquired by Liandri and opened as a tournament arena.

Interesting idea. Looks good too. However, that's where the good things end. Gameplay is zero, thanks to no bot pathing. The walkways are very snaggy too.

Sigh, this could have been a decent map. As it is...

Hi, it's the author - I did path the map for bots, I don't understand why they wouldn't be working. On my machine they work great. I'm just curious what exact bot problems you're having so I can fix them. What seems to be the problem?

Hey author-
try to click right button on the bar just above 3D window in UED. then choose view and put check next to PATHS. this will make all bot paths visible . that would help you solve any path connection problem.
visuals seem to look nice.

For me, AWE is the most important element of a score, and that is where most of this map's points come from. It looks quite nice, with all sorts of emitters, loads of static meshes, and a good theme (Tokara, but not...). These visuals don't quite stand up to a careful examination, though, since that will reveal that the rooms are essentially cubes, and that some stair textures were too stretched. Gameplay is where the real trouble is, however. I was immediately, well, confused! It is very hard to flow through this map, simply because of its layout, with things to get caught up on and mystery jumppads that seem too numerous even for a Tokara map. Also, you can walk through some very large, solid looking sections of plants. The biggest trouble, though, is the upper ramp area. Though the chained walkways look cool, they are MUCH too tight to fight on, and difficult to jump off of. Also, there are no weapons or powerups up there worth getting, so all the action will stay down on terra firma. The bots worked fine for me, but they did not venture into the walkway area mentioned before, simply from lack of inspiration. Nevertheless, I like a strongly themed map, and I hope the author will keep that going in his future works.

It is a very nice looking Map and Bots worked fine here, but it has a number of technical issues that affects gameplay. The technical issues are snags that occur in various places in the Map(leaving the Spawn tunnels and in the upper tunnel).

I Liked the visuals, it was hard to play as the flow was difficult.

I gave a 3.5 for the visuals but reckon that another month tidying it up a bit ,yes you can get snagged sometimes, could make this a great map Arcadia.
