GNOME: I'm not even going to ask why you'd choose to review a map like this Sapper.
SAPPER: Good. I wouldn't answer it if you did.
GNOME: I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that this map was an experiment in form.
SAPPER: I disagree. Bimbostratus was just trying to do something that no one else would do and maybe it would make him famous. I hereby present the Loser of the Year Award.

THE AWE FACTOR
GNOME: I think it's amazing how those stairs float in mid-air and stuff.
SAPPER: That's great Gnome. Okay, let's just get this over with.
GNOME: Good enough. Theme is seriously out of whack here. There no reason for the stairs to be floating like that. Now if there was some sort of glowing texture beneath each stair and if they bobbed when you stood on them or if there was a completely different texture package at work here that sort of explained it, then the floating stairs would be good. But as it stands, it just doesn't fit.
SAPPER: Neither does the shield belt hallways in the upper-level that you simply can't get to because there are no movers or lifts or teleports or anything.

THE BUILD
GNOME: Completely symmetrical. One big subtraction box with some addition brushes thrown in. Not really all that exciting.
SAPPER: I don't think you can say it was even built. One of these days, I'd like to see a map with some wooden textures and a nail that's come loose and you can snag your clothing on it. A little bit more detail would be really nice people.

THE CAST
SAPPER: Ring around the rosey. A pocket full of posies...
GNOME: Don't quit your day job Sapper. You can't sing.
SAPPER: So yeah, gameplay for the most part revolves around people and/or bots running around in circles and shooting guns. No real strategy involed. Major improvement needed.
GNOME: I thought weapon placement and bot-pathing were pretty good.
SAPPER: But that's not going to get you to play this map again is it.
GNOME: Well...no.
SAPPER: Your honor, I rest my case.

OVERALL
GNOME: There are some maps out there, like this one, that could use a different kinds of review schema. I just hate to hand out failing grades.
SAPPER: Well, I'm going to get drunk.
GNOME: See y'all tomorrow.

you have a few mapping mistakes here Mr Nimbo
1.the lower stairs go nowhere, the upper stairs have no supports (floating) not good.
2. you have lighting in your map, but it doesn't come from anywhere.
3. your map has square after square room, you should try and vary the shapes you use, make it more interesting for the eye.
4. architecture is 0 add some beams, supports and trims, this will help the look/feel of your map

you said that this is your first map in UED well, i get what you are trying to do with this map, so its a 1 from me. have fun learning:D

... mind you that support-less stairs aren't a bad thing all by itself - it's where they are. Here, in a tech themed map, they don't make much sense, but if it was a fantasy/mystic/whateverInThatLine, it would be ok, if properly done. Try making things that go into what you're trying to depict. It will make sense.

0? It is a WORKING MAP, so I'll give it at least 1 Point, + some points because of multi floor action. Bots seem to work as well. Not too bad for a first effort.

now that HUD is horrible for the game, but to include it in screenshots is grounds for termination.

use "spectator" mode for taking your screenies, and for god sake Clean up your HUD man!!
