The wooden walkway has 2 issues: 1) it seems kinda out of place, probably should have been peices of metal, not too big a deal though; 2) the bots always seem to get stuck at the upper end of it.
I thought the broken stairs/ramps and things are well done and convincing. The layout is good in spots(larger rooms), but kinda poor in others(room at end of tunnel). Speaking of the tunnel, it is kind of narrow and snaggy in spots.
Shows promise, keep mapping
| Innominate 07-22-2004 11:36 PM MDT | Rating: 6.5 | | At first seeing this map with no screenshot(s) I instinctively thought, "Damn another noob map that will probably be ugly and crap." It's only a couple of KBs so I decided to DL it anyways, then I was proven wrong.
Pros: -Interesting layout. -Map is nicely done. -Good visuals. -Bots are well pathed. -Good 1v1 map. -Already have potential but can use more.
Cons: -Misalignments on static meshes that can easily be spotted. -I didn't experience any problems, but this map can surely use optimization. -Lighting needs editing, it's good in some parts but too dark in others. -Need to make a level preview and add pic to NC. -Narrow as Sandorski said, could use some breathing room. -The tunnel is too narrow, I sometimes have to crouch to get through that part. -Redeemeer is too much for this map.
