This is a REMAKE of CTF-TheWall by Sago007 or 008 which ever one he perfers, a horrible map in my opinion (sry) but it does have an interesting idea thus I decided to remake his map. I did ask.
You can jump over the wall via jumppad but this time there is no random pool of water to break your fall it's just your feet and the ground. The non-damaging route is to swim in the flooded subway which connects to the opposing team's base but it will take you a little longer but there are rewards for taking this route. again such as the other map; The Wall by Sago008 I don't give a rating.
The map has indeed more eye-candy but it is still full with faults... 1) u won't get hurt if you jump in the fire 2) The flooded subway is way too long 3) etc
but I think u only want to show/encourage Sago008 that u can make a nicer map than a cube map with 1 day more work... Hope that he download the map and try it :)

first I am not registered in the forums so I can't give the advice there (maybe I will register me there :P) The other faults/tips (after playing the map again :D).
1.) Near a spawnpoint in both bases can walk up a stair but if you try to jump over that broken wall u can't... 2.) well this is actually no fault but the skybox could use some more light now it looks if there 3 light are placed against it
but go on with making updates... i will test them all for ya ;)

Still the collision of that wall is weird maybe u can delete it and than put the mesh without collision in the myLevel package for the map. now it is fineshed It think..

Well i checked it out,and i aint a ctf player,but if the wall was a different texture color unlike all the ather cement would be easier to see wich way to go right awa, And add some colored lights around the flag area to see flag base faster,easier. and mabye add like a braching water tunnel stytem other than that kina cool actualy

to Hidra: I made this map for, one was to see how fast I can half-ass a map, two to show Sago that with just about the same time he made his map he could have done a much better job, and three to prove Sandorski right that Sago did have something good going for him. I'm never out of ideas I just don't have the time to make them, and even if I did I would be doing something else besides mapping =p.
to Doriz: Yeah, but I think going in the static mesh and changing the collision .ase is too advance for me ^-^'
*Edit* to Shao: Hell are you talking about? You seem to be the only one getting the joke and it's LMFAO. Criticize constructively if you can non-mapper don't just give drivel.

| sago008 07-19-2004 02:40 PM MDT | | Well it looks a lot better than mine. I normally play InstantGib (old habit from LAN parties) and in the beginning I didn't found it too good. But then I tried it in standard CTF, and it is a rather good map. But play was decent and I even met a bot underwater which I didn't expect acording ti the readme file :). The flames didn't bother me (who jumps into the flames anyway), but it was hard falling down from the building in the side to get to the small shield, a problem I also had.
All said I liked swimming down and find goodies in an old subway, and it has an interresting twist compared to the original Thorns map, and we can use a twist there :)
