Well, this is another one of those levels that have nothing whatsoever to do with it's title!! Anyway, in case you haven't seen, CliffyB has given this level an excellent write up on his 0wnage page at Planet Unreal.

This level adds itself to the VERY long list of two-fort levels, but that's not a bad thing. I enjoy two forts levels more than any other CTF map genre. This level consists of the two forts, connected by two pathways over a bottomless chasm. Each base features two sniper perches. The problem with this is that there's about a 20-metre gap between the red team's sniper perches, and the blue's ones. This makes proper defensive sniping harder; as you're constantly check to see if an opposing sniper has his crosshair over your forehead. Again, this isn't always a bad thing, only my opinion. This level has a strong DM-Deck16][ theme to it, resident throughout the level's architecture and texturing. Each base has two "spawn rooms" guarded by two auto-cannons. This makes spawn-killing impossible for those cheap players who get a thrill from doing it. You can also use this room to guard yourself if you have the enemy's flag, and your waiting for your own flag to be returned.

The bots play as well as any human player, and make full use of the sniper perches. Checking for opposing snipers is integral to game strategy. Only problem with the bots is that they go for the rocket launcher in the opposing flag room before the flag. Item placement is perfect. The shield belt in the middle provides the player with a conscience decision to make, as it's suspended on a very small platform in the middle of the level. Besides avoiding sniper fire, it's very easy to be knocked off the platform. Architecturally, this level is outstanding. A consistent architectural theme is resident throughout the level. Everything from the flag platforms to the sniper perches have been professionally moulded into a work of art.

Overall, this is a level noone should be without. Even if you're getting a bit tired of the "two-fort" genre of CTF levels. This is a medium to small sized CTF level, suitable for three or four players per team. Whilst there is support for more players, I don't feel that the level will cope, given the claustrophobic base entrances, and the machine-gun nest. As I've already said, this is an excellent level. Get it now!!

Oooooh man this map is addicting. Then again I just love sniper towers - you should've seen the trails of blood I left covering both the bridges (muhahaha!) *AHEM* Anyway, this one is a sure keeper, though it lacks the extreme creative originality that I really love to see in maps (like CTF-Catherine, which, if the idea was revised a little bit, could be a hell of a map). Ah, but this is a great map nonetheless... it'll be staying on the harddrive for QUITE a WHILE....

Yes, a great classic CTF maps that should be a staple of everyone's map list. It is a bit small, and plays best for 2on2 to 5on5, but not much more.

This should have been a Bonus Pack map. If you like playing small DM maps and aren't much of a CTF player, give this map a look it may just make a CTF player out of you. This map earned it's Ownage.
