This map is my final entry into mapping for XMP. It's designed to look nothing like any other map in XMP. The setting is in a cavern that's open to the sea. There is a waterfall in the center of the map with another cavern under it. The two bases are mirrored and placed opposite of each other. Every part of this map has variable height terrain that allows for some wild raptor driving, protected spots to group up for an attack, hiding spots, many sniping vantage points, and a centralized power battle around the waterfall. There is no other XMP map that has this degree of variety of terrain. Over 50 height maps, 40 antiportals, 8 terrain actors, and a variety of particle and lighting effects compliment the map's design. This map took over the course of a month to fully design and finish. It runs smoothly like the existing XMP maps.
Special thanks to BoggityBoy and $ane of BuF for the map name idea, NRK for the water drop particles at the base of the waterfall, and CXP team members for providing images of map faults.
Version 2 (Final) Notes: Many dynamic pulse lights have been removed in order to enhance FPS performance and reduce engine load. Additional blocking volumes and an all new fluid surface have been added to remove exploits and improve eyecandy. This map has radar. You can tell the difference in version 2 because an F has been added at the end of the map's filename and (Final) will appear in game to denote the new version. | Review Rating | -- | User Rating | 10 | Overall Rating | -- |
