I liked this map very much because of it's awesome visuals, especially because I always wanted to see such a map (tunnels on the bottom of the ocean stuff) being done... A lower score because I easily got lost in this BIG map

Without a doubt, Deep is one of - if not the most - beautiful maps I've ever played. Seriously, it felt like I was playing Capture the Flag at the Sea-Life centre or something. Well, minus 99% of the fish. Anyway, it captured the sea-floor for me, and the facility itself is thoughtfully rendered and constructed - The air lock doors are just fab and the tube elevators offer a short, unobstrusive (to gameplay) ride.
What I find quite remarkable is just how fun the level is to actually play. The claustrophobic tube-corridors that suit the theme so well could have been a bad recipe gameplay wise, yet they're always balanced out by the larger areas they connect. The map offers multiple routes to and from the bases by a number of methods - vertical tube lifts, hamster-cage-alike tunnels and swims through the underwater caves (with Sonic the Hedgehog-esque air bubbles). The unique visuals offer unique and fun tactics (like being able to anticipate where a foe will come from and how best to fight them in one of the tubes, or the multitude of great places to hide)
I'm pretty sure there'll be those who desagree on my verdict - and believe me, I usually hate maps heavy on static meshes and narrow corridors - but please don't overlook this map simply because it looks pretty. A classic (in my eyes at least)...

Your maps do look very beautiful indeed, this is much better than AS-Thurst (Which by the way had possibly the worst gameplay I've ever played & I'm afraid many others agree with me). But well done on this one.

Excelent map! Everything from the CBP2 Volume 1 is top-notch, and this is no exception. Reminds me of the underwater Mako reactor facility from Final Fantasy VII!
It plays well, and beyond its visualls provides the standards for any good CTF map, and UT map in general. Some might worry that the tubes are too narrow, but as said before they fit the theme AND gameplay well in this case, and look cool to boot!

absolutely amazing! my only beefs were it was dangerous in the open water due to lack of air bubbles and at times it seemed slightly cramped. but still well worthy of a 9!

Not sure why filesize is 0kb o_O Can't edit that myself... There is also a UT2003 version here at Nalicity for those who don't have UT2004 etc.

I need to have another look at this map since I only really had a quick fly through it. Initial impressions were about 7-8/10, theme is definitely something original, nice job on that one (was planning a map like this for a long time but never really got round to making it :p) A few things were bugging me like the cave looked waaay overscaled for playing and the layout looked a bit dodgey, but like I said, I need some time to check it out properly and I'm kinda busy these next few days, remind me in a week or so :p

Alright, the looks of this map is of course top notch! But the frames per second isnt that great, but this goes for almost all underwater levels. The gameplay I have a few issues with thou...
The doors into each base are original and I love them, but there just too small for UT2004's moveset! Ill bet they would be the perfect size for UT, but not for UT2004. That makes entering the base and exiting the base a pain in the ***! But definatly the best looking of the CTF maps thou.
6.5 from me. :)

The sharks are a nice touch, shame that you can't get close to them, and if you do get to close, they eat you ALIVE!
Mwahahahaha *cough* hahah....

The sharks, the bubbles, the lifts, the doors... everything looks outstanding, it's one of the best looking and most creative themes I've ever seen in a map! About gameplay, I like the cave in the middle, and the framerates are good in my PC. However I think the hallways (tubes) and doorways are too cramped, not too nice seeing teams fighting there (with frienly fire? lol). The hallways are too long in my opinion, although those doors do a nice work helping flagcarriers. I often get confused in the flagrooms, maybe they should have been a little bigger. The bots play very well and they always are there to help (and kill) you... :) A great CTF map.
