Here we have a small map created almost entirely out of BSP geometry with virtually no architectural detail, a bunch of ugly custom textures that aren't aligned anywhere, and one terrible custom mesh. That's pretty much all there is to say. If I were grading this map against maps made for the original Unreal Tournament, it would get at the very most a 1.0 for visuals, probably a 0.5. But this is a UT2004 map, and so it gets a big, fat zero.

Again, there's not much that I can grade the map on here, as there's almost nothing that needs to be done. The brushwork is subpar, there's almost no ambient sound, and the map has some bloody dance music that makes it sound like you're at a frat party. About the only thing positive that can be said here is that the bots get around the map correctly. I seriously doubt that someone completely new to UnrealEd, armed with a few basic tutorials, would have any difficulty reproducing this map in a short time.

CAST: 1.0

The map's layout is very basic. It's actually not too bad, but it still falls far short of most UT2004 Deathmatch maps that I've played. The thing that gets me here is the item placement. Almost all of the weapons are on the ground floor, and all the ammo is clustered around the weapons in groups of four, except for the flak cannon, which has six. I would have liked to see it all spread out a little more. There are no items at all around the perimeter of the map. There isn't any health anywhere, except that it sometimes appears on two WildcardBases at the center of the map. One would have been better; they're too close to one another. Also, there are a bunch of Link Charges but no Link Gun; the author put a Bio-Rifle in its place by mistake. Oops. Finally, the map's center on the bottom floor has a Grenade Launcher, four boxes of grenades, and a Redeemer all right next to one another. Very odd.

FINAL SCORE: 1.5

There are so many wonderful one-on-one maps out there that I can't imagine why anyone would ever want this one. The only UT2004 map I've played so far that has impressed me less was that awful "Assault" map that was nothing more than an exercise in driving vehicles across ramps. Skip it.

OMG this map is awful. It looks like a flashback to UT99, with its blocky architecture. The textures are crap, the gameplay is almost nil. And next time, stick with naming conventions. It should've been called DM-1on1-MokumX instead.

Yeah right. The textures are maybee a little ´costom made´ but the gameplay is there dude. This map does not contain the ´lag making´ crap and is pure for fun.

The name is created so it can be easy be voted on at our server.
Go on and play at our server and be suprised!

Look, go and download the 1on1 map pack and see how it is done.

The blocky architecture among other things just doesn't impress. The layout is ok though, but needs some serious work in the visuals and item placement etc.

I'll give you a 4 because the layout is very good. The rest is very plain, kinda equivalent to Duke3D or Doom2, minus all the pixelation.

Judging by the screens the author cleary don't know how do take advantage of the engine, just look, the map could be done in the old engine without any loss of geometry.

i dunno what are you people are talking about but this map is great Layout may seem simplistic yet i never had as much fun playing 1on1 map.
Its wide open. Kickass map nothing to disturb your eye but enough to enjoy it.

only thing that put it down a bit for normal weapons play is item placement too much ammo turns it in skirmish. But i play mostly zark and have nothing to complain about in that department

Small map. It is not enough of tricks. Large scale textures.
